i want to learn more about this phenomenon:
"you can literally hypnotise a person to tell them that there is a cat in their lap, they will see it, they will hear it pur, they will pet it and feel it. Its not physically there. You tell the cat to scratch them, you know and bring them out of it. There are scratch marks on their cheeks. A non physical object in the right conditions can leave physical evidence. I think its demonic, its a spiritual power of some kind for which there is no physical explaination. You can't explain it with the laws of chemistry and physics as we know it."
thanks
For starters, it is no more demonic than shell-shock or hysteria. Hypnosis is largely a psychological phenomena, so looking for an answer in the field of chemistry or physics would be about as helpful as looking for the spelling of a word using mathematics.
The point of physical harm occuring from hypnotic states is true to a certain extent, but largely exaggerated in this paragraph. A very simplistic form of 'harm', namely the seeping of blood through the skin, can be induced from a particular sort of inductee, but only after a great deal of trust, preparation, and many sessions. Things such as scratches and such generally only appear spontaneously in cases of severe obsession (which, incidentally, go a long way towards explaining cases of "demonic possession"). You aren't going to put a first-time inductee under, tell them a cat scratched them, and get any sort of physical response.
