No, but it fits the description better than anything else I can think of.

Yes it would...but I just believe that it is a case of mistaken characteristics by the original poster(everyone is entitled)....I mean...even Ray freakin' Charles could see that it does not have a head like a dragon as the original poster described....I'm not sure what the hell she saw.

It would be better if original poster could draw what she saw...

That is a great suggestion...usually the simplest solutions are the best.

For sure! Now that would be a scary prospect, especially if the Guinness is flowing laugh.gif
I like the idea of a bat though. pipistrelles are very small, and I guess the muzzle from certain angles could be mistaken as looking slightly equine. They look more mouse or dog-like though.

ohmy.gif ohmy.gif I am a Guinness drinker too !!!!! Find Kilkenny a bit weak. We have Coopers here which is good..... This just gets better. Don't you dare consider visiting OZ without sending a PM first!!!!

Hehe, I am and admit it in public.

I LIKE FROGFISHES POSTS. There. Out of the closet now grin2.gif

Many members are really worth looking out for. In particular, I try to follow the posts of Frogfish, RKD, robbieb, Lilly, skyeagle, MID, ericraven, jobot, Cinders and more recently Coldethyl. Cripes, that is just right of the top of my head and I have for sure only named less than half the people who make this place great, not good.

Did you know that robbieb is my zoologist???

And my word does he have a point. He always does, that is why I really enjoy his work thumbsup.gif

BTW, I enjoy our banter too thecreeper. Just get a little frustrated trying to get my point through sometimes.

Ah, good old Guinness! I'm sure that's probably my blood type. Seems to be the Cryptozoologist's (I mean true) drink of choice. a lot of the members over at CZ.com also enjoy the black stuff grin2.gif You know, I would really LOVE to visit (or even work in) Australia some day. I do plan on getting there some day. let's hope or paths do indeed cross. although I think that it might be at the expense of others' sanity... laugh.gif

as for the moth. Sounds good. With those extra furry antennae extended out along the same plane as the head, very possible to look like an elongated head. I wouldn't be surprised if it were a male moth. How many pairs of wings did this dragon have?

Yes, it does make sense.

You say vampires are real, and no one can disprove them; well, how can you disprove that there are any fire-breathing animals?
Urisk
I hate to say it, but I can see where he's coming from. Belief is all just down to personal taste. I mean, you wouldn't have any qualms about what you want to believe in religion-wise. In fact, I'm sure most people here would nurture the wish to choose what makes sense to them. If something makes sense to them then it's a belief they are willing to prescribe to. I mean, really the religious equivalent of your statement eric is "If you choose to believe in one religion then you should choose to believe in them all". What? Even Greek? Roman? Norse? Pagan? Satanism? All the while classing yourself as a Christian!?

Nah, don't believe that un for a second. If he wants to believe in mermaids and not dragons or what the hell ever, just let him. How does it affect you? That's his choice, it's his problem. Can't seem to understand why you're getting you're knickers in such a twist over it. No offence to you, but you sound like you're losing unneccessary sleep over it. Accept it, he doesn't have a pic because he believes he saw a mermaid. Probably didn't, but who cares? I'm only pointing out that there seems to be a Hell of a lot of OTT agro being generated by what I reckon is a fairly trivial matter. please don't take this the wrong way, or personally. That's not my intention.

but then, just because someone believes in something, don't make it real now, dos it wink2.gif

I think breathing fire is more possible than mermaids. We know that there are animals, like the bombardier beetle, that spray caustic chemicals, so something flammable isn't out of the question. But mermaids have the whole phylum-interchangeing thing. We don't see that in nature.

If you want it to stop, think more about your posts. Give a good reason for your claims, and use actual evidence to back yourself up whenever you can (use google, you can find articles about almost anything related to science easily); and don't just ignore people whenever they dispute you.
