I was walking home and i saw the biggest frog. It was like foot long and 1 foot wide maybe a little bigger but not much and the wierdest blue color. Next time I see him Ill give you a pic. But when I was like 7 they would always scare the hell out of me cuz one bit me foot.
Cadetak
I don't think these frogs are anything "unexplained". I've seen big frogs at the zoo before.

Don't lick it btw.
Jack_of_Blades
The goliath frog is the biggest frog in the world, but not the right
continent.

Frogs that big don't live in N. America...You probably just saw a large bullfrog and exagurrated it...
coldethyl
Could have been someone's exotic pet escaped. hmm.gif

And he said not to lick it because some frogs produce a toxin that can cause a hallucinogenic high. thumbsup.gif

No frog is that big...
Raptor
The Goliath frog's body can grow to literally just under 1ft, and with it's legs stretched it is roughly 2ft head to toe.

I agree with Coldethyl, probably an escaped pet.
Purplos
Actually, according to the site given about the goliath frog, it can grow up to a foot long. There is an African Bullfrog in the zoo near us that is easily 10 inches in diameter. Not blue though.
frogfish
1 foot wide and blue...No frog like that exists...The Goliath is a grey-green, the Bull-frog a green, and the Cane toad a brown..

Great advice. That's right up there with, "Don't eat yellow snow."

I have seen bullfrogs eat mice, and other frogs also...But never a blue frog a foot across...
thecreeper
wouldn't a blue frog be poisonous?
Urisk
I would say that a blue frog would be poisonous. As far as I'm aware all anurans produce toxins that are expelled from the skin. Some are obviously more deadly than others. In some (ie. the more "commonly encountered" species) the toxicity is pretty much either low or negligable.
