I was wondering, you see a lot in movies, when you wake up a demon or something like that he can give you special powers. Is this pure hollywood or is there a truth behind it?

I believe there is some truth in the legend. It is the old "selling one's soul to the devil" theme which is as old as the hills. I suppose psychologically speaking it means flying in the face of your own scruples and conscience to get what you want; to get something at ALL costs, including the thing most precious to you, symbolically: your soul. This sort of attitude can never bring any good in the long run (look at Shakespeare's King Richard the Third). Of course there is a lot of Hollywood gloss and drama covering this basic idea about human behaviour.

The type of "powers" anyone is looking for is not something you'll benefit from, in fact these external abilities have the intent of harming the person within, not a very good idea if you're looking down that road, Spiritual Satanists let demons (whom they consider as gods) to channel through their bodies, bad idea I say, much like crossing matches with gasoline.

I would think alot of it is "Hollywood", but all demons serve the devil and all the devil is out to do is get your soul. So conjuring any sort of demons looking for something in return is foolish because they are out to take you over and you get nothing in return. It's all a selfish circle.

Yeah but Star Wars has the right to be wacky... Afterall, it does take place a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

Its all pure truth. In fact i woke up a demon just the other day and he gave me special powers. I was driving to work and saw a demon lying under a hedge. I reversed the car and got out. I asked him if he was ok but i saw he was sound asleep. I shook him and woke him and when he woke he said where am i? I told him he was under a hedge and he said oh no not again, i should really know when to quit with the vodka. He gave me the ability to never wake up demon tramps again. I think he soiled himself and i will never do it again after smelling him.

Hahahaha.....you should have left 'ol smokey-ass sleeping and just put shaving-cream in his right hand/claw and then tickled his snout......or just put his claw in a bowl of warm water and watch the fun ensue, lol.

more like Hollywood... I doubt you will even have the time to ask anything from it when it's free. Demons, by nature are bad; selfish.

Why were you looking for some special powers?

they would give you some "special powers" like a bad attitude, a fight for control of your body, possibly ending up never being able to beat it and my personal favourite having an evil demonic voice in your head hounding you to do something stupid and wrong, you'll probably end up on here asking for help

I would think that if you woke up a demon, he is more apt to do something nasty to you than to give you special powers. I hear demons are very cranky when they first wake up.

From what I've been told and read (read the book "Interview With an Exorcist") demons themselves have no special power or abilities like turning water into real blood etc. Nor do they know the future.

However, they are exceptionally intellegent, vastly beyond human intellegence. They can use thier intellect to make highly accurate prediction and "connect the dots" better than we can. But they are not infalable or all knowing.

& they don't just wake up.
