I think the reason people dont believe in a god or gods is because they 1.) Are rebellious and dont want to fit into society. 2.) Are mass controll freaks and cant stand the fact that there are bigger forces controlling thier lives other than themselves. or 3.) Havent really thought about it.

How about facts and observation are contrary to religious doctrine and alteria explanations offer a more probable and realistic explanation of given events and mechanisms

Can I post one of equally insulting possible reasons why people believe?
The starter of the thread is clearly has shown that they have a superiority complex. I could never be religeos because according to most I live a sinful life full of sex, drugs and rock and roll

Why is it that instead of attacking the beleifs of us godless peoples you attack the peoples.
You have obviously made it clear that you think those of us who do not neccisarily beleive are rebels with with societal atrophy. This is not the case especially since there are those of who do have our places in society and are not rebellious. You have made it clear that you do not have the mental capacity to see beyond your own blind faith. So what is the point of coming here and spewing absolutly nothing but lies and insults? Do you think your performing some sort of service?
All you have managed to do is potentially get this thread locked since I am sure many will just see it as a thread started to take cheap shots at the skeptics. I beleive this is called character assassination. Very childish indeed

Mine dropped 40 points responding to it.
There are plenty of other reasons why people don't believe. You've just chosen to list the most extreme. We've had plenty of "why don't you believe" threads on these boards. I don't think we need another one, especially one that seems to do nothing but make non-believers into unintelligent psychopaths with authority issues.
