Full Version: Very strange experience in the woods at night

Hi. Been a long time since I posted here but I got a very strange experience to tell. One that I'll never forget.

First, I am a very open minded person but I am not naive. I don't beleive everything I hear and always try to find rational explainations to weird experiences etc.

It happened at my grandmother's house. She lives in the Laurentides in Québec witch is basicly deep woods and mountains. A fery beautifull and peacefull place that I love to go to relax, fish, explore the woods etc.

It was late, past midnight and I was outside with my cousin's boyfriend around our campfire laying on a long chair observing the stars. It was a silent night, no wind, no clouds and as you know, in the countryside you can see a LOT more in the sky than in cities. So I was there, watching stars, planets and satellites when I spotted a peculiar dot in the sky. It was moving randomly in the sky but stayed in the same spot, you know, just going from left to right, doing a sharp turn and waves etc. Hard to describe. I thought at first that it was my immagination but when I fixed other dots they didn't move or did anything like the other one I spotted earlier. I then asked my cos's bf if he saw it and surely did he. I went inside, took my uncle out and surely he did see the same thing and the three of us agreeded that there was indeed a peculiar dot moving strangely above us.

So we all chilled down and everyone returned to it's buisness when a couple minutes later I saw weird flashes in the sky. They were just like lightning flashes but we didn't hear a sound, there was no wind and absolutely no clouds in the sky. My cos's bf (we shall call him Barry now) saw the same. It seemed like the flashes were coming out of the top of the trees deeper in the woods or in the sky we couldn't really tell. So again, I just thought it must be some lightnings (although I couldn't figure out how they could happen) or another natural phenomenon. Again, no sounds but the crickets and other nightly insects.

Now comes the weirdest part. We were still there and some time passed (not too long) and suddenly while looking at the sky and listening to the tranquility of the night I felt something inside me. Some kind of weird feeling as if something negative was coming. I am very sensitive to those things. I meditate a lot and am really down-to-earth. I also heard weird sounds in the woods not at one place but basicly all around us where there were trees. At that point I looked at our dogs (a husky and a german shepeard/labrador) and they were looking all around them. Usually, they'd run at what is there and scare whatever squirell/racoon/deer that might be there but that time, they didn't move.

I then turned around and asked Barry if he felt something and he too seemed confused and felt something. We then agreeded that it would be better if we put the dogs back in theire enclosure for the night and then something just too weird happened. Our dog Joker (the german/labrador mix) who is usually VERY protective and brave and fearless got into total submission. As I dragged him to his enclosure he had his tail beteween legs, shaked and had a terror look on his face. I have NEVER seen him act this way before and never did afterwards. As I closed the fence, the dog would just block it with it's head shaking in fear prasing me to keep him with me. I never saw a dog so scared and submissed this way. The other younger dog (the husky) was vervous and looking around in the dark all scared too.

So we put the dogs there and then I went inside to take my 12" haunter knife and attached it to my belt. After I went outside, took a chair, sat by the fire towards the woods and fixed the darkness. I wasen't scared at all but I DID feel something wrong and it didn't look just like a simple wild animal. A wild animal would have just passed by and go when noticing us and the fire like the usuall but this time it felt as if whatever was there was calm and waiting for something or for the right moment. We also heard the dogs growl and bark at some point witch they never do in the case of wild animals becuase they are used and don't feel treathened by them. But this time it was a weird growl like if the dogs were REALLY scared sh*tless.

Well that's about it. I stayed on this chair facing the woods trying to figure out what it could have been until it felt normal again and safe (actually it did about 45-60 minutes before dawn).

The next day I investigated around the house and dog's enclosure and found some weird traces on the ground. It was as if someone or something walked near the house and dog's enclosure but the traces were big and didn't have any characteristics of footprints or shoeprints. Just flat big prints.

So that's all. I told you everything I remembered and it's the truth. I don't know what happened on that night but I will remember it for my entire life. The feeling was too strong.

It couldn't have been a large animal like a moose or bear because it made little to no sound and the traces don't correspond. Couldn't have been a small animal like a rodent because the dogs wouldn't have been scared by it.

So do you guys have any theories? Please, take this seriously. I didn't just invent this for fun.

Cheers.

Weird! Did you ever look back up at the sky to see if that moving dot was still there?

Have you sat out there on another night since this happened to see if it happens again?

The dot was still there for quite a moment but after awhile I didn't look at it anymore and just kept looking in front of me by the fire. Just staying there in case. I still enjoyed the peacefullness of the night and calm of the countryside anyways.

I had to leave the next day. I can only stay there 2 days usually because of work. But if I ever go back I'll be looking at the sky again. It's crazy how in a perfectly dark place you can see so much...

LOL, I was going to say the same thing. Yes, go back with both a video camera and a regular camera. There was evidently something there that night and maybe it would happen again if you went back, more prepared.

Then DON'T SAY ANYTHING.

JayMark, where you were, was there electricity or a phoneline? Did you test these things if they were still working with that dot in sight?

Can you draw what the prints near the dog enclosure looked like?

Wow things seem to happen in the woods alot dont they? but as far as i know it could have been alien.gif but thats somewhat unlikely but hey you never know right? About the dot was it moving violently or smoothly was it an unusual color did you hear anything somewhat weird. Im not too good at asking these kinda questions but its a start for me.

Electricity was just fine. I didn't check the phone. The flashes came from either the sky or if it came from earth it was in the woods and not over any electricity source that I'm aware of.

The dot was moving slowly not really fast. But it did make irregular movements but staying over the same zone always. The dot is just like any other star from my point of view except for the bizzare movements.

As for the prints, they weren't all identical just mostly "flat" like no sing of toes or claws. We also saw those prints under a window and funny is Barry (the guy with me) said he felt as if something was watching him from the darkness from this very window. We had our soft drink cans placed under that window so he saw it everytime he went for a can and said that at some point it was if as something was looking at him from the darkness.

Also I have a very open mind, am into spirituality and also meditate a lot so I have a strong "aura" (dunno how to explain) maby this could have had some influence on the experience.

Anyways, I wasen't afraid of what it was even though it felt negative to me. I kept sitting on my chair with the eye open looking at the intense darkness until it faded away and sun rised again.

I don't have a camera unfortunatly and I'm not gonna go there really soon but when I do I'll be watching the sky again.

OMG I would die!
Did you see something in the woods? Like, were there shadows moving or something like that?

No. I didn't have any flashlight, only a laser pointer but that wasen't of much help trying to see.

I didn't want to go in the dark neither. Not that I was scared at that moment but I knew that what was there didn't have any problem moving in complete darkness so it had a very big advantage over me.

I'm very glad you guys take me seriously.

That was just plain weird. One thing I know is I might very well be spotted by whatever entity it was because as I said I have a very strong aura and am aware of many things most humans aren't aware of.

Anyways, whatever was there might have also been purely spiritual and able to take a physical form at will I dunno. I know it sounds really crazy but beleive me, things are going on in this world that we just have no idea about.

Good thing it stayed in the darkness and left. It knew I wasen't gonna surrender. It knew I was there and aware of it's presence. It knew I wasen't scare of it and would fight to death if I had to to protect my family.

Maby I sound crazy and delirious but beleive me I'm not. Such thing never happened to me before. It was the first time and last so far. But coincidally it happened the first time I went there to my grandma after becoming spiritual and basicly a strong spirit (heden't been there for at least a year).

Woods are good places for such things. This is because it's dark and basicly unhabited so whatever it is has a lot more chance of suceeding in theire mission whether it's an abduction or whatever it could be. Sounds like I'm talking about aliens I know but actually if I look at the whole night and all what happened it's the most probable explaination I have. Moving dot in the sky, weird flashes in the sky/woods, strange and negative feeling, peculiar faint sounds in the darkness, dogs getting scared sh*tless and unwilling to to anything (and like I said they usually are very protective and feareless).

IMPORTANT NEWS

I talked about it with my uncle who stays there with my grandma and he told me something pretty shocking. One of his good friend who lives in that countryside apparently had to deal with aliens before. My uncle dosen't really beleive all this but as for myself, I was a little more open minded especially after what had happened to me this night. Not only does this man (uncle's friend) claim to have be abducted but he also say he's been born within these aliens (like if he was artificially breeded into a female and born as a human but with something diffrent inside of him). All I know is that he's taking this very seriously despite that nobody beleive him. I don't know if all what he says is true but all I know is that normal people don't invent such stories just for fun. And I have met him before (although I wasen't aware of this story nor did we talk about anything of the sort) and he's a very lucid and deffinatly not a psycho freak or mentally ill person.

So see, I'm not the only one in that countryside to have such stories to tell. It's in the Laurenties, Québec which is basicly mountains, woods and small roads that go through.

Sorry for the long post but I have so much to say about it. I'll continue my investigation and keep you updated if anything else shows.

Thanks for the reading.
