Hi. Been a long time since I posted here but I got a very strange experience to tell. One that I'll never forget.
First, I am a very open minded person but I am not naive. I don't beleive everything I hear and always try to find rational explainations to weird experiences etc.
It happened at my grandmother's house. She lives in the Laurentides in Québec witch is basicly deep woods and mountains. A fery beautifull and peacefull place that I love to go to relax, fish, explore the woods etc.
It was late, past midnight and I was outside with my cousin's boyfriend around our campfire laying on a long chair observing the stars. It was a silent night, no wind, no clouds and as you know, in the countryside you can see a LOT more in the sky than in cities. So I was there, watching stars, planets and satellites when I spotted a peculiar dot in the sky. It was moving randomly in the sky but stayed in the same spot, you know, just going from left to right, doing a sharp turn and waves etc. Hard to describe. I thought at first that it was my immagination but when I fixed other dots they didn't move or did anything like the other one I spotted earlier. I then asked my cos's bf if he saw it and surely did he. I went inside, took my uncle out and surely he did see the same thing and the three of us agreeded that there was indeed a peculiar dot moving strangely above us.
So we all chilled down and everyone returned to it's buisness when a couple minutes later I saw weird flashes in the sky. They were just like lightning flashes but we didn't hear a sound, there was no wind and absolutely no clouds in the sky. My cos's bf (we shall call him Barry now) saw the same. It seemed like the flashes were coming out of the top of the trees deeper in the woods or in the sky we couldn't really tell. So again, I just thought it must be some lightnings (although I couldn't figure out how they could happen) or another natural phenomenon. Again, no sounds but the crickets and other nightly insects.
Now comes the weirdest part. We were still there and some time passed (not too long) and suddenly while looking at the sky and listening to the tranquility of the night I felt something inside me. Some kind of weird feeling as if something negative was coming. I am very sensitive to those things. I meditate a lot and am really down-to-earth. I also heard weird sounds in the woods not at one place but basicly all around us where there were trees. At that point I looked at our dogs (a husky and a german shepeard/labrador) and they were looking all around them. Usually, they'd run at what is there and scare whatever squirell/racoon/deer that might be there but that time, they didn't move.
I then turned around and asked Barry if he felt something and he too seemed confused and felt something. We then agreeded that it would be better if we put the dogs back in theire enclosure for the night and then something just too weird happened. Our dog Joker (the german/labrador mix) who is usually VERY protective and brave and fearless got into total submission. As I dragged him to his enclosure he had his tail beteween legs, shaked and had a terror look on his face. I have NEVER seen him act this way before and never did afterwards. As I closed the fence, the dog would just block it with it's head shaking in fear prasing me to keep him with me. I never saw a dog so scared and submissed this way. The other younger dog (the husky) was vervous and looking around in the dark all scared too.
So we put the dogs there and then I went inside to take my 12" haunter knife and attached it to my belt. After I went outside, took a chair, sat by the fire towards the woods and fixed the darkness. I wasen't scared at all but I DID feel something wrong and it didn't look just like a simple wild animal. A wild animal would have just passed by and go when noticing us and the fire like the usuall but this time it felt as if whatever was there was calm and waiting for something or for the right moment. We also heard the dogs growl and bark at some point witch they never do in the case of wild animals becuase they are used and don't feel treathened by them. But this time it was a weird growl like if the dogs were REALLY scared sh*tless.
Well that's about it. I stayed on this chair facing the woods trying to figure out what it could have been until it felt normal again and safe (actually it did about 45-60 minutes before dawn).
The next day I investigated around the house and dog's enclosure and found some weird traces on the ground. It was as if someone or something walked near the house and dog's enclosure but the traces were big and didn't have any characteristics of footprints or shoeprints. Just flat big prints.
So that's all. I told you everything I remembered and it's the truth. I don't know what happened on that night but I will remember it for my entire life. The feeling was too strong.
It couldn't have been a large animal like a moose or bear because it made little to no sound and the traces don't correspond. Couldn't have been a small animal like a rodent because the dogs wouldn't have been scared by it.
So do you guys have any theories? Please, take this seriously. I didn't just invent this for fun.
Cheers.
