So last night my fiance and i went to bed in our new apartment. we have live there for about a week. Anyway i fell asleep as usual and then she woke me in the middle of the night scared to death and said something hit her in the head. I told her it was nothing and tried to fall back asleep. After laying there for about an hour the fan in our room got really loud and i felt a preasure push down on my chest...i couldnt move at all. Then a voice wispered in my ear "im going to kill you" it said it 3 times and then starting mumbling. when i could finally move i grabbed my fiance and then something pounded on the wall by our heads 6 times. it woke her and she heard the pounding too. We live above an empty garage and theres no one in it but us.
Now we are scared to death to even go back home...we are staying at her parents tonght.............Any advise of how to get the use of my apartment back? I have a lease for 3 months and i cant even sleep there.
any opinions or advise welcome...please!!!

call the ghost hunters? Haha, you never know it might work. Just keep this thread going and I am sure someone will say something useful. On second thought try to set up two cameras, one regular and one either night vision or thermal, then you can see if you can catch this on tape.

Well, it may not be for you but setting up cameras can prove something to all the people who think you are just crazy. And if you set them evil spirits (if there are any...) will possibly flee.
Who knows..

I suggest setting up a video camera to see if you catch anything, first of all.
Use a tape recorder to ask whatever it is a question or two, and see if there is a response.
Perform the classic ghost hunting tasks, basically.
Perhaps if you both convince yourselves it's not there it will leave?

Whatever entity did that to you and your fiancee doesn't seem very friendly, but it might very well be a prank by the entity. They like to doing that sometimes

What I would do is this: go to your apartment, either with or without your fiancee, might help if she's there, and talk outloud to the entity. Make some sort of deal with him, for example, the entity can make noises and cause mischief whenever he likes, except when you two are sleeping. Whenever I feel uncomfortable at night, I tell anyone who might be there that if they wanna cause mischief, that's fine, but NOT while I'm asleep/trying to sleep. That's just an example, but what's important to remember here is that you have to take control of the situation. It may seem very silly to you to talk outloud, but if no one other than your fiancee is gunna be around to hear you, why should it matter?

That's just my suggestion, not sure if you were looking for something more drastic.

The entity said the words "I'm going to kill you", this doesn't sound like a playful prankster to me. Second, you mentioned about taking control of the situation by telling the spirit not to cause mischief while he's sleeping. What can this guy do if the poltergeist doesn't comply, kick it's ass? I think you're on the right track with having outloud discussion/negotiation. I believe this couple should try to find out what
it wants first, accomodate, then they can get what
they want. Seems to me that the entity holds all the cards here so a little ghostly ass-kissing should go a long way.

Yes, the entity said the words "I'm going to kill you," but being killed by a ghost is something that's extremely rare, don't you think?
I'm just saying that this is something he can do without having to go to such drastic measures as buying a video camera to catch something, or a tape recorder to catch evps, etc etc. since he definitely isn't planning to stay there for very long, even before this happened.
Well, there's only one real way to find out if the ghost doesn't comply, isn't there? Keep us updated on your situation; the only real way to help you and your fiancee sleep at night is trial and error. I really doubt that the people you leased this apartment from would rent it out if the spirit or spirits ever did any really bad harm. If anything, try asking the people who leased it to you some questions like "has anyone ever had any strange experiences in the apartment, or the house in general." you're paying for the lease to this apartment for the next three months, the least the owners should offer is some information on whether or not other things have happened there.

yeah, i think that's a good start would be to ask your landlord(s) if anyone else has experienced anything up there or in the house at all. then if they have, there might be your answer, break the lease and get the heck out, or stay and try to reason with it or have an exorcism performed.

People, first off, you ALL know that a Poltergeist FOLLOWS the victims, ANYWHERE in the world, if this man right now hasnt noticed anything weird at his parents' home, it's because it's not following them, there are just 2 chances bro, you got a Phantom, or a Demon, if it's a Phantom then dont worry, the suckers just like to scare people, I once saw one, inf ront of me, the bastard stared at me for abotu 3 seconds, few days later he pulled me out of bed, now, if it's a demon, Be careful, these feed on Fear, Or Anger, or Doubt, listen, man, you dont have enough internal strength, as some have said, Hire a priest, one that doesnt fear, one who's experienced, and Just get him to kick the demon's out of your home. and I promise you'll be alright.

I would also suggest that if you have convinced yourself that what happened to you was paranormal to put salt in your corners and that will keep any ghosts from harming you.

Whoa cowboy.....ghostly death threats???? If I were you I would go back there alone and see if the phenomenon occurs again and try to get it recorded. If you are going to take it to any "reputable" paranormal researcher....or clergy(brace for impact my friend)...you will need to have some sort of incentive for these "services" to be rendered and recorded evidence will go a long way towards achieving the help you need....it won't be done overnight......or you could do like ColdEthyl said and make with the salt......good luck.

My Advice: Get the place blessed, hang a cross in every room, but be sure to hang a cross on the wall behind your bed, and it may calm the spirit down, if it dont work, get some psychics to come clear the place out.

Your probably correct. I have many times thought I heard loud bangings in my house and when I get up to investigate.......nothing.....and then I sit in bed like a dumbell wondering if I really heard it, or if it was just imagined. Remember one thing about the human mind, it is only processing and interpreting impules and stimulus....If I may, I will quote a very intelligent soul that I call a friend: For all we know (if to know something is to be certain of it), we might be living through an elaborate and powerfully convincing dream....think about that.

hmmm...One thing is we know for sure is we don't percieve our world or sourroundings as the be all and end all. There was a docu I saw once that attmepted to show what it would be like to view the world as an insect or dolphin etc as they see in the ultraviolet range of light/colour (which we can't) The dolphins may well see ultrasonic waves like dogs may see smells, not just smell them...

I've never had any hardcore scare like that and thank God. I suggest you exploit that apartment. Prove and provide evidence like leaving a camera or tape recorder running in a room while you are gone. Investigate the history to know what you are dealing with.
Your only other option would be to get the hell out. Most people don't take death threats to lightly and one coming from a ghost is no exception. You know its not gonna be easy when a ghost says " I'm going to kill you"

I don't know what's in your home. I could have said it was a psychological problem if not the both of you had seen and felt the thing. In my opinion, it could be helpful to you if you called a priest. There are specialists to those cases who may do something.
Exorcisms do exist. First, try to know a bit more about the history of your apartment, so you can know whether something strange happened there before or not.
Anyway, if the exorcism doesn't work, well it may be a lotta fun and a great show to you. Another solution is this, if something hits you, just hit it back so it will understand.
Have you tried to ask it what it was? It's really impolite to enter anybody's home like that, like it's a mill. Make sure that thing knows the reules of politeness or tell it you don't want it in your house, maybe it will be able to comprehend. It shouldn't make itself home and basically everyone should introduce themselves before they do such impolite things. Even in death, there are rules.

You have either a angry "human" spirit or an "inhuman" spirit in your home.
The difference being, a human spirit is a spirit that is still attached to this world for various reasons. A Inhuman spirit is of a demonic spirit, not human and has never walked the face of the earth.
I am in Florida, but If you would be willing to talk with me via email more in depth, I can probably recommend someone to help you that is only a short distance away.
If you have gone back and spent time in the home after the priest/clergy blessed the home and things are getting worse, please do contact me. Hauntedwacissa@aol.com
I would also suggest taking some photographs in and around the home, and video if you have a camcorder. History of the home is always good to have as well, especially if it is a residual haunting (although I do not think that this is the case with you so far).

You should have a house blessing. Contact an Episcopal Church in your area. Prayers and holy water ceremony throughout.
I have had several incidents happen to me and I will tell you what worked in my case:
One evening, at the age of 14, I awoke suddenly with a very evil presence in my bedroom. I immediately turned on my bedside lamp. I was thinking to myself that I was glad that I had that light in my room and that I would just freak if it went out. I took my bible and began to read and pray asking that God remove the evil presence from me and give me peace. My light immediately went out on the lamp and something hit against the screen on my window at the same instance. It was very frightening, but the evil presence left.
Thirty-five years later.....I bought a home and had been living in it for about 5 years. One evening I awoke just like I did at 14, with a very evil presence in my bedroom. I had one of my grandmother's dolls that had a music box in the back sitting on my sewing cabinet, next to my bed. The music began to play. I really didn't even know the doll had a music box in the back. In all the years that she had it, I never heard it. It played for a full minute or so. I was very frightened, but also more determined that I would not allow this intrusion into my life. I took my bible and read Jeremiah 29:11 and the 23rd Psalm. I felt strengthened. I got out of bed, went over to the doll, held it, kissed it, and claimed that the power of the Lord was greater than the power of evil and asked that God remove the evil presence from my home. Went back to bed and the fear left me. I refuse to let it have power over me.

What was it about the presence that made you think it was evil? Was it perhaps your own reaction of fear that infulenced how you interpeted the experience? I think a simple please leave me alone I want to sleep would have worked just as well
A music playing box doesn't sound the work of something terribly evil
