Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if the anatomy in question has NO DNA, then it proves.....nothing.....beacuse they are not sure exactly what the original "hand" came from in the first place...how can we say that something that was previously unidentified could be the hand of Bigfoot, and in turn, then say Bigfoot has no DNA? O.k. "something" has no DNA....but what? they don't know what the hell they have.
Necrodancer
It's also possible that a "hand" fabricated out of synthetic components wouldn't have DNA... grin2.gif

Personally, I wouldn't trust any website that uses images from the Terminator series in an article relating to world events...but that's just me.

It's clearly a tabloid.
Bosanchero
Looking online at bear claw skeletons, this hand of unknown origin is so obviously the hand of a bear with the claws removed.

Sounds like the consensus here is: They're full-o-crap......yes?

No DNA?

Nonsense!!!!

All livng creatures have DNA, cells, and tissues that can be tested and identified.

Lack of DNA means one of two things.

1) The severed limb is a fake.

2) The lab technicians are stoners, and did the tests wrong.
The Skeptic Eric Raven
Tom Biscardi is the worst thing to happen to bigfoot researchers. He claimed awhile back that he had captured one alive and started sell PPV on his site. Of course nothing ever showed. He is a evil hoaxer.

The entire thing is fake, there most probably weren't any scientists involved at all.

Like someone else said, it looks like a bear paw with its claws removed.
frogfish
It's all fake folks...tabloids....pshhh
Agent. Mulder
k, if a severed bigfoot/sasquatch hand is just anonymously delivered to police, and they find it has no dna, for w/e reason (i liked BigDaddy_GFS #2-stoner one. lol grin2.gif ) the its obviously a hoax that someone tried to pull off.
~Onyx~
What really killed me was the assumption that it MUST be Bigfoot....EVEN THOUGH THE THING IN QUESTION HAD NO DNA OR MEANS TO BE IDENTIFIED WITH!!!!!! So beacuse it's big and harry it MUST be Bigfoot!!!........how asinine can you get.

They must have identified it initally through fingerprinting.... rolleyes.gif

I routinely perform DNA extractions for my job. What I think happened is that the sample was so degraded that intact DNA could not be extracted. NOT that the sample had no DNA.
Besides, the website is associated with Gawker. Take it with a grain of salt rolleyes.gif

I read here that it had been skinned as well. And the comments at the bottom of the page pretty well indicate that it is a bear paw with the claws removed.

i wouldn't post a story like this in this site. Sceptics will only lay you down if you believe in bigfoot.
if your sceptic then this is the right site for you otherwise try to keep it for you self.

No, everyone who reads tabloids knows that the stories are made up.

Millions of people do research involving DNA, it's not exactly hard to believe that he is one of them. huh.gif

No, skeptics will only 'lay you down' if you post evidence from such a weak source, i.e. a tabloid like this. If a known biologist did research on a crypto and published a paper saying it might be real, then I would accept that.
indeed

Affiliate Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology

For a start count ? huh.gif

From what i've read he has a paper just about ready to be published thumbsup.gif

Their are a few scientists that believe in bigfoot and are looking at evidence with their methodology grin2.gif

If there weren't believers, we'd be a bunch of liars.
If there weren't skeptics, we'd have no opposition, and no true questons to ask.

Best Bigfoot story I ever read was when he was on jury duty and the defendant tried to escape, so Bigfoot tackled him and was a hero.

The pictures were awesome.
