with the Eastern world exploding, violence flaring, bullets loading, I thought it only appropriate to bring up the all-too important subject of Loch Ness Monster land sightings. the obvious ones are the Spicer sighting, the Arthur Grant encounter, and the Alfred Cruishank on his way to work at some un-Godly hour of the morning sighting. a couple of favorites of mine are the Munro sighting and the group of children who witnessed a "horrible" creature lumbering through the brush at a swamp and disappearing into the loch. to me, all of these land "sightings" are a fascinating part of the Nessie saga, even though they were either fake or sightings of some other animals, ie otters. Loch Ness freaks usually know the usual land-sighting tales, but for the uninitiated, here is a link:

cool read, thx signman

Signman,
Don't fret, the Loch Nes monster is far more important than the never-ending unrest in the middle east.

I am glad somebody else noticed that the numerous sightings of the creature on land rule out the possibility it is a sturgeon or eel. It also proves that the supposed "complete sonar scans" of the Loch are meaningless if the creature was on land at the time.

Did this "lumbering abomination" take with it the tracks that would be undoubtedly left behind by a creature of any significant size/weight?.....Oooooooooooo, that crafty 'ol Nessy.... rolleyes.gif

Curiosity Killed The Kid
I recall watching a program about the Loch Ness Monster with a friend of mine in the fifth grade. One of the several sightings, if you wish, was with a fifty-seven year old man and his wife who were both cruising in their car around the loch when they suddenly stopped their car as a creature, similar to "normal" sightings of the creaute, roamed and waddled across the small dirt road. Unfortunately, that's all I can remember.

Could something as large as Nessie is supposed to be even drag itself out of the water and onto land? I mean if a whale gets on land somehow, it's in trouble.

I agree with frogfish, it probably is just a lot of nonsense. I honestly don't believe Nessie is out there.

^Better yet, would it even be able to breathe air?

It could be real....But until they find proof real proof i think it's just a hoax..... hmm.gif
