This may be a little far-fetched but, I am at my wits end!
My cell phone has been missing for like one week. I know it is in my house because I heard the beeping of the battery dying.
I've looked everywhere I can think of and no luck. I really need to find it soon.
Anyone have psychic powers? Maybe you can help me find my phone?

1) Keep looking for the phone.
2) Look for a fake psychic on a random online forum full of delusional pre-teens and then after failing miserably, look for the phone.
3) Don't look for the phone.

O.k. All kidding aside, where were you when you heard the beeping? I would start from that point, and (don't laugh) go around in circles. slowly spreading your circle bigger and bigger. When I was into hunting, That was what I would do in fields when I found a blood spot. Eventually, you will cover every area in the house and (hopefully) find your phone. Or you could just check in your couch.

Furniture is notorius for eating cell phones.
I would show them who is the master by turning the sofa and chair upside down and giving them both a few good kicks and a sound beating.

When I lose something I always go back to the very spot I last remember handling it and stand there quietly and soon the answer comes to me. Too much panic clouds the vision, I find, as some have suggested, the harder you look the more elusive the blasted phone will remain.

Look under your bed, or in a closet. It is partially buried by other things.

I've tried looking everywhere that everyone suggested and still no luck and no one has taken me up on my psychic offer
I thought of the last time that I had it and I only vaguely remember it so, that didn't help much.
And I was on the computer when I heard the phone beeping and didn't take much notice as I thought I had left the phone somewhere where I could find it. So, in the long run...I have no clue where the beeping was coming from
The only thing I haven't tried is to stop looking for it. I guess that is what I will have to do anyways because I have no idea what to do next.
When or if I find it then I am attaching one of those whistling keychains to the thing

Try thinking about it early in the morning when you are refreshed and just woken up.

I am on occasion in the habit of hiding valuables in the house when leaving and then forgetting where they are later. Some things remain in hiding places for days and weeks. Have found that later in the day cannot find a thing I have hid but can always remember early in the day when the brain is refreshed. Good luck!

Ok joking aside, devide each room into blocks/quadrants mentally, and check each block extensivly.

the problem with finding lost items, is people tend to search in places they believe it is most likely to be, and/or dont look where they think its improbable to be located. so forget that, scan every single spot anything could be, imagine your a mouse and look under, between on top of everything. be systematic, finish one room, move to the next.

sound, specially high freq cell phone beeps can bounce of walls, travel through conduits etc, so dont go by where you think it is just because of where you heard it.

Well, I resolved the missing cell phone problem. I qualified for a free new phone from my provider so, I just had my míssing phone locked and my new one activated.
I never did find the old one I suppose I will someday, when I least expect it.
As a side note, I was surprised at the amount of angry private messages I received because I posted this in the forums.
More than one person messaged me, some with profanities, wanting to know why I would challenge their pyschic ability.
If I had known I would have gotten such a reaction then I would not have posted in the first place. Sorry, if I offended anyone.

Sorry you lost your cell phone and am glad you qualified for a new one. Were you able to attach any type of finding device on it?

I am always leaving mine somewhere and have to ring to find it so you may take what i say with a grain of salt. I have, however, helped others in the past locate missing objects, The impression I am getting about your phone has been covered by others. I think it is somewhere dark, possibly in a box, but the first impression i got was the inside pocket of something like a coat or jacket ( I appeciate you say you weren't wearing a coat recently)The funny thing is I am not sure that it is in your house. Could a friend or aquaintance have unwittingly put it in their clothing. I realise this also cuts across your hearing the phone somewhere in the house, but I have the feeling that this has blinded you to another possibility.Try ringing the number every now and then just to see what happens. I am also not very techno-literate. You probably can't do this if you have had it locked.
