I can't believe that I never knew this site existed! Well here's a fun story.

i'm a long-time phish fan, but i didn't start going to their concerts unitl the fall of '99. my car broke down sometime in early 2000 while i was in college and i was forced to use my grandmothers old car that we still had from after her death. i didn't really need to drive it that much and over the following year i was too lazy to reinstall my old disc player into that car and so instead of listening to my phish cd collection, i religiously and exclusively listened to the one and only phish show i had on cassette tape: second night of deer creek '98, 8-3-98. these two cassettes were the only thing i ever listened to in that car and they never left that car. years later and long after i replaced the vehicle, i was going through some old papers and stuff in a drawer and came across that little card that is made and given out at funerals with the deceased's name, dob-d, and a prayer--my grandmother had died on august 3, 1998. i'll never forget holding that card in my hand and just being frozen and staring blankly.

thanks for reading!
