Time slips are very real and sometimes occur where there is a demonic haunt ,but not always.
Those were some very intelligent, excellent, informational postings from all of you!!!
Thanks!
But, I mean...what do time slips have to do with a demonic haunt?

I have those moments, where I would be driving and then just can't remember driving certain parts at that time. It's usually when I'm driving the same route on a daily basis, which is when I'm driving to work, and back home to work later on. I don't usually have it now in my home state, where the drive to work is not as long as it was when I lived in New Jersey. I use to travel about forty miles to work daily, and sometimes I would get the feeling, 'I don't remember driving that patch of road just now!'. In which, I agree, I think it is dangerous, and I would get nervous and scared when experiencing this.
I personally think that our brains go on auto-pilot, when long stretches of road, that we're use to, becomes monotonous and I think we tend to occupy our minds to pass the time, if that seems a good explanation.
Though, there are times, when I thought some time has passed in other circumstances, and when I look at the time time, only a few minutes have passed.

Yeah, it happens a lot when im driving too. Especially if im aware of the area. I can see where your brain goes into auto pilot. Its weird tho, i never get in an accident. I even get to the point in the inner city where i just doze off daydreaming and i end up at the location and not even realize it. Kinda scary thinking about it, i need to start focusing more.
KNOCKS ON WOODS ABOUT ACCIDENTS LOL

In most cases when it is not a true time slip when you "snap out of it" you are somewhat startled but in a true time slip it's like you slip into being their and say to yourself that was really strange . at least that is what happened to me and when it happened it was very profound and real.

Well, now I have to insist that you tell the story.

Its still an interesting phenomena, it gets deep in explanation...
Its like similar to De Je Vu
Only opposite, lol...
Actually, deja vu (literally, "already seen"), which is the false sensation that you have experienced something before which is in fact unfamiliar, does have an opposite. It is called "jamais vu" (literally, "never seen") and it refers to a false sense of unfamiliarity with things that are in fact familiar.

I'm not sure if time slip is the right term for what happened with my brother and his family.
My brother his wife and two young children had gone for a few days break to a remote Somersett (uk) cottage, after dinner one evening, they went for a walk down a country lane, they came to a gap in a hedge and across the field they could see what looked like an old fashioned country fair with shire horses etc., they decided to visit the fair, they walked down the lane for a couple of mile trying to find a road or track that lead to the fair, having no success, they walked back up the lane to the gap in the hedge, the fair had gone just empty fields?

Classic!
At least in the sense of how I think of a paranormal timslipe. Not in the sense of losing time and not knowing where it or losing track of time or memory whilst engaging in something but when actually seeing or interacting with a completely different period of time!

The slip is probably in your mind and not time. if you drive home along the same route day in day out, you can go into auto pilot, when you come out of it your looking for a familiar land mark because you have no recollection of the last 10 miles or more. You can also have a fit or seizure, it can happen to you once in your life or every few weeks or every few years, it doesn't have to involve passing out or convolutions.
Yea, I agree with the autopilot theory. Also, I'd say that a time slip is more like going back in time without realizing it (like the account of those two women and Versailles).

Yep, that's one of those things I'd think of as a "time slip." Great story.
