about two weeks ago, i came home from ecuador on a sunday, and i came home at 3 am becuase our flight landed at 2 and we had to wait for our bags. So when i come home i turn on my cell phone and put it to charge, I pass out a few minutes later and wake up at 4 30 am and my cell is ringing, the number reads 614. No area code, no more than 3 numbers long, no nothing, jsut thoes three numbers show up. I answer the phone and all i hear is a voice i couldnt make out what they were saying becuase it sounded like there was machinery going on in the background, or as if they were in a metal factory. I try to talk and continue to say hello who is this whats goig on, the voice replies im watchin you. then hangs up. I look at the recived call log and the number is 614. At this point point im a little worried but i just put it int eh back of my head. I try calling the numebr back but its says the number is invaild. So im thinking if this is an invaild number how can they call me, and i cant call them back? The next sunday im out at my friends house and were drinking having a good time and my phone rings. The number once again reads 614. Again Machinery sounds in the back and voice wishpering that i cant make out. i stop talking for a bit to see if they would hang up, i finally here someone from the other end say i know your there not talking doesnt help. I start saying who is this, is this some kind of joke, tell me who you are, the person replied dont worry about it all you should know is that im watching you. Im waiting until this sunday to see if ne thing happens, I dont know if i should be scared because "there watching me" or if i should just not care but im courious to see whats going on. I have heard of ET.s contacing people throught thier cell phones, house phones, radios. and hearing machinery in the back ground. Im not saying its an alien but its something that is "watchin me". Maybe is a spirt or somethign trying to protect me

i have posted this same topic in the UFO section ebcuase im not sure, but im pretty sure its my grandpa or something, because he passed away 2 years ago in june. And when i went it was his anniversry of his death. After he passed away i saw him sitting with my mom who is his daughter and my aunt whois his other daughter

Ok firstly, I would outrule any living human trying to contact you. Try calling up your phone provider and ask them to look up the number 614, tell them the story. It might just be someone giving you wind up calls....

Failing that, if you get another call, ask who is speaking, double bluff them and ask them who they are wanting to speak to, tell them that it is (make up name) talking and that (you) is busy right now. See if that produces any more info.

Also, what tone was this ' I am watching you' said in? was it in a caring way or a threatning way?

I've had similar instances occurr. I once got a call from 000-000-0000 and it was left on my answering machine. all it was, was a loud male voice cackling into the reciever. To this day, have no idea who or what made that call.

I have heard of people being "contacted by aliens via cell phone" however, I cant honestly say the stories were too believable imo.

area code 614 is in ohio. your probably getting a hacked-cell phone that's making the incomming calls.

I had a girlfriend who was two timing me, and going to extraordinary lengths to conceal
the call location. I finally called Verizon, and they cleared everything up. Try calling your

This is so annoying that everybody is getting cell phone calls from ETs except for me. It's not fair. I wanna get a phone call from a ET. An ET who can be my friend. Whom I would beable to talk to about all of my frustration with government ET and ufo cover-ups. I have a lot to say about them. Those cover-ups. It's not fair it's just not fair. I'm open minded. But it just seems like they the ETs don't care if i'm open minded or not. Because they ain't gonna contact me anyway. It's no fair. It's just no fair. But then again my life has always been unfair. also, it could be a cross-call. a cross-call is something that happens, when per-se someone phones a friend, that call can get cross wired and end up with you being a second ear.

Sounds like something that will be good for a horror movie. But it's probably someone playing a prank on you. If it happens again record it and post it here, or send it to the police. Or you can try confusing the voice. If it tells you that it's watching you, you tell it that you're watching it.

So for example, like the woman who got a phone call from someone claiming they were watching her son. She called the police right away and they followed her son to the school and found a man with a camera taking photos of him. They later searched his home and found pornographic material of 3 other children from around that area. But I guess she must've been nuts following through with that call, what was she thinking?!

Back to subject though, as far as this thread goes, I suggest like many here, contact your provider, if that doesn't work start recording those calls. It's always best to take these things seriously, you must never underestimate anyone. Even if it is a prank it's better to be safe than sorry. Because there's always a chance it isn't.

okay, here is a thought about strange cell phone calls.

back when some of us use to have cb's there were times of the year or even day when you had what was called "skip" when the sun would somehow effect the transmission thru the cb and you might be able to hear someone that was a great distance off. sometimes even on other side of country. is it possible for this "skip" to effect cell phones in the same way?

iv called my serivcie provider aka T mobille and they have no record of me being callexd by 614. They told me the number didnt exsist and it would have been impossible for someone to call me. I told the guy that he has to e wrongbecuase the number 614 was on my call I.D and undermy recived call logs. All teh guy told me was that it the number calls again to go back to him and show him, beucase they had not gotten ne record of 614 clallin

Why do people play pranks on phones? The pranker on the opposite end of the call speaking nonsense will never know your true reactions after the prank. Know what I mean? Calling up a random number and scaring them seems a waste of time to me. You don't get to feel how the other people are taking it, you just assume you ruffled their feathers and that's it. This is where I think some people are just plain dumb and/or extremely bored most of the time!

My brother used to routinely get calls on his land line that had no voice, just what sounded like someone electrocuting a dog. Loud sounds of live wires, than an insane amount of dog yelps and whining. Creepiest thing I have ever heard.

sorry i haven't been on in a while and i have read all the posts and i want to thank everyone for their advice the caller has called back one more time since i last posted and again it was a raspy voice which had said teh same thing that im being watched. i told hte guy to f off and to never all my number again and next tiem he does im ganna have to call the cops. this call was july 23 again a sunday.. no calls since then but next time he calls i will deffinatly record it useing taht site (thank you btw) playing witht eh guys mind didnt work. which is kinda funny because he was like i now who you are, which kinda scared me a lil. im not ganna lie. I have had calls on my cell that I couldn't call back. Like I would see the number but when I called it I would hear the operator say that there is no such number. I would never have a voicemail message from them though. Most of the time I figured it was a glitch or somthing.

Hi, I live in Ohio and I have gotten many missed calls on my cell in the middle of the night from the number 614.... never a message or anything, and I tried to call it back one time and it told me my call could not be completed so i figured it was some sort of sales call. But 614 were the only 3 numbers that showed up. Weird.

I realize the date this was entered but the same thing happens to me every-so-often when I get a call from my gas company it is always all zeros.

I used to recieve calls with no voice all the time when I was younger. Of course the first thing you think is "oh its a wrong number" however after a while it confused the hell out of me when the caller would just sit on the line and listen to me say "Hello??? Heeeeeeeeeelloooo??" and would only hang up when I say "I'm gonna hang up now"

around the same time we had some strange door to door salesmen in the area. They approached the door (there was three of them) and told us they were from Pizza Hut, selling $300 worth of Pizza vouchers for only $19.99

we told them they wern't interested.

I remember about 10 minutes later......the three of them were around the Back of the house, looking out next doors back fence.

We never saw them go round the back of the house

After that day the calls stopped....and I haven't recieved anymore since.

Its all probably co-incidence....but its freaky when I look back on, especially when I think about those weird calls.

I never get cool experiences, or well creepy ones.

I guess this is an America thing. I've never had a three digit number call me. I've had loadsa pranks where people dial a random number and find me the hang up.

And while reading this thread we got a call from some strange number which noone recognised. it was a home line. Bit of a strange coincidence really, don't ya think?

Maybe next ime 614 calls you should shout down the line or play music to them, see what happens.

Hey I did that with a friend that workd at Pizza Hut when we were teens. Was a good deal I thought, specially if you have a bunch of kids... Got one for myself but only used a few of them.

It's funny that this old thread was brought up today. I just got a new Tmobile account, my old one expired, I was with them for two years. So I signed another 2 year contract because I got 2 new fones. I got new #'s because I could get the fones free that way or pay $49. So anyway, this was a month ago.

I also moved into a new house we just got built in an old subdivision, but a nice one. Well, the week we moved in was the same week I got the new fones. That first week, I got 2 calls on my cell with no one speaking, just a low humming sound in the background with the sound of metal "banging" a couple of times. I sais "hello hello" but no answer. During that week, once at around 1 am the dogs went wild and I went to the front window and saw a big black (or dark coloured) car parked infront of my neighbor's house. I could see no one in the car but the car was running, lights off, I could hear it.

Then i heard rustling in the grass between my and my neighbor's house and saw 2 men wearing fatigues coming from the back they quickly walked to the car, got in and drove away with no lights.

I also got a call on my home fone (Vonage VOIP fone) with exactly the same sound. Talk about freaked out. I didn't tell the Mrs. because she freaks out easy. I called Comcast to inquire about the call but they said the systems were down for a couple of hours that night and they were sorry but they had no records (how convenient). The caller ID read "Unregistered". My cell fone caller ID by the way said "Unknown."

I asked my neighbor a couple of days later if anything strange happened that night and he acted like he was really shocked and asked me all kinds of questions like what the guys looked like, what the car looked like, etc. I also told him about the calls and he began to sweat. I asked him what was going on but he said he didn't know.

He moved out very quickly over night about a week ago.

I am so freaked out by this. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but he was a colonal in the USAF and we live near Pensacola Naval Air Station. The other neighbors said he just moved in there a year ago and that they saw his wife at first but not in almost a year. They said that he only went and came at night. I havn't had anything else weird since. But my neighbor 2 houses over said that when the colonal moved in, a black van came and some technicians installed the three satellite dishes he had on the back of his roof. Those dishes are gone today and we never saw anyone remove them.

This thread gave me chills.

That house is empty and for sale. I'm gonna call the realtor and act like someone interested in buying it and see if I can get any info. Some of my neighbors said there was something weird about that colonal's activities but no one knows what. We just had our house built and this neighborhood is totally lovely, except for those incidents.

Hopefully now that the neighbor quickly left you won't be observing any more strange events. Unless anything else happens, sit back and enjoy your new home.

if ur not signed up when u call them it comes up as the area code instead of a number.

Already I'm worried for you. It might be your grandpa, yes, but I'm just thinking of possibilities that it could be some creepy human looking for fun at someone elses expense. Maybe you could try recording it on tape or something. Have some sort of evidence so that it won't be one of those my-word-against-yours experiences. I would recommend having someone around you in public, don't go out alone by yourself.

As for the future, yeah man there are lots of possibilities. Just hang in there and answer every time that he/she/it/they call. If you don't feel comfortable you don't have to speak but it would help to have some answers. Gah now I'm gonna worry. Stalking is a no-no in my book.
