I don't mean to be anal, but your spelling is uncommonly deplorable.

You'd most likely have an editor, but you really should work on your grammar if you wish to be a writer of a sort.

UM has an Encyclopedia for the paranormal, that would be a great place to start. thumbsup.gif

Cryptids are animals presumed extinct or hypothetical species of animals known from anecdotal evidence and/or other evidence insufficient to prove their existence with certainty. It doesn't take much time to spell correctly (in fact, I think it's faster to type the word 'write' than it is to type the word 'wright'). And the whole point of grammar, spelling, and punctuation is so that everyone can understand what you're trying to say. If we all had our own way of spelling things, no one would understand. It's called 'communicating well'.

And maybe you should try to find some of these creatures on your own, before you ask others to do your research for you. Unless you plan on giving others credit.
phantasia
Loren Coleman has written a very good book called "Mysterious Creatures". What do you plan on doing? Lifting articles off of websites and compiling them as a book? no.gif

Pssst--try using the little "checkmark under the ABC" icon
frogfish
Crouton is right...do your own research instead of letting others research for you...

LOL, I still doubt you can 'wright' properly tongue.gif

O.k, o.k.....I do believe that we have "hammered the nail into the board" on this one....cut him some slack.

I must say that everyone here is correct in terms of your research for your book. If you intend to solicit information and/or ideas from anyone on this forum...then a mention of credit should be given accordingly.....your glossary will be HUGE!!!

I agree leave the kid alone, since when do you need to be grammatically perfect to write a book, many sports stars and actors have managed quite well.. hell many men I served with are doing alright also.

If you don't want to pass advice on to the kid then don't pass comment.

This is one of the funniest bleeping threads I've read in a long time.

I agree with this. He is asking for advice and information and there is nothing wrong with doing so, this is a community board after all. As for his grammar it could be tidied up I agree but its not unreadable. There are a number of reasons why a person may not be grammatically correct, Dyslexia, English being a second language, someone who just cannot spell correctly.
If people have nothing constructive to say then it would be easier to leave the thread alone.

Mokele-Mbembe
I know a couple of monsters, there is the Minnesota Iceman (currently frozen in a block of ice) that looks like it is related to bigfoot, I also know the Frieburg Shrieker, and the sea devil . the Sea Devil was cought by fishermen in the 1400's and looked like a merman with Goat Horns on it's head, webbed hands and fins growing behind it's ears.
