here's a photo that was taken by someone i went to highschool with in the alley of an allegedly haunted buidling. I told him that i liked to go ghost hunting so he went out and did it, and wouldn't you know, his first trip out gets this picture. I went there a few nights after he showed the picture to me, and there are no light sources where the streaks in this photo are, and i can think of no explanation for the strange fog. ...sigh... some people get all the luck. there are also some strange shapes in the fog, but i don't have any good photo software at the moment to investigate further.
here is the photo

i'm pretty sure he has an original uncompressed copy of the picture on his hard drive, if you have photoshop and you want to take a further look i can try to get it from him.

I believe your dear friend may be pulling you chain...It's a dark picture with lights, and frankly looks like someone left the lens open and either moved the camera, or moved the lights. Sorry but this doesn't look real or fake...it doesn't look like anything.

laugh.gif That's somthing i like to call the "silly striing affect".

i agree that it does look like the lens was left open for a while which could explain the streaking if he had jostled or bumped the camera around. but if you look at the brick wall in the photo you can see that the cables running up it are not smeared at all, just the lights, which, as far as i could tell from my trip there do not exist. I doubt he would make a fake...sometimes he has trouble remembering his own name. I'm sure its just a strange effect the camera picked up, but until i can see what some of those shapes in the fog are, i'm going to remain interested in this one.

That’s a simple camera trick. Simply leave the camera on long exposure and wiggle the lens around. Nothing special about it, sorry! dontgetit.gif

there would need to be light sources for that simple trick to work
