ok here is the situation: i just found a little kitten in a tool shed at the local park. the tool shed had ben broken into a wile back and it seems some one had left a little kitten in there with food and water and it seems like they have ben taking care of it. but they leave it out there all alone and its ben really hot lately. i left a note telling them were i live so if they want it back they can come get it. i have a real soft spot for cats and i could not just leave it there. but now my dad is really pissed off at me and he has given me a weak to find it a home. so my question is. should i have taken it in or not? should i put it back or should i wait and see? pleas i could use your advice sad.gif

I would wait a day or two for a reply, or perhaps go to the park and inform them of the kitten. If those two fail set up an add in the paper or a bulitan board to find it a home. If you go to school ask friends if their family would like a kitten. (dont put it in a shelter, those places are scary for kittens)

I love kittens. ^^

I think you did the right thing. The person will probably be relieved that the kitten is gone as they were just probably feeding it out of the kindness of their heart.

Maybe the kitten will grow on your dad and you won't have to give it away...

Kitties are so nice!

Give your dad the finger from Kratos. disgust.gif

Of course you did the right thing. Little animals can always use some help in this heat.

If you can't find a home, the next best thing you could try is a local pet shop for them to sell. But try an ad in paper in your neighborhood or something. original.gif If those all fail, you can try the humane society.

You did the right thing! It's way too hot out for little animals to be locked up like that.

Maybe the person who is feeding it will reply to you, and if not and you absolutely have to find it a good home, put the word out amongst friends so that at least you will know what happened to it. grin2.gif

I love cats by the way!

Good luck!

Ew, dont send it to pet shops. Most of em' dont even take care of the animals. They just put em' in a cage with some others and hope they dont eat all of their food.

best of luck finding it a home!! Oh, you did the right thing... parents just get mad about this stuff because they figure when the newness and the cuteness wears off, guess who's gonna be taking care of it? show him you will continue care of the animal and not depend on him to feed it, clean the litter box, cuddle with it and so forth. maybe then he will be a little more willing to let you keep it!

oh yeah, and offer to pay for all the vet bills. Kittens shots and fixing can get pricey, but many humane societies and private organizations offer free or low cost vaccinations and spay/neuter programs. check with your local vet or Pet Smart (they might even have dates online)

If i was you i would move out and find a place where they let you keep pets.

I would be afraid to let that person come to my house. rofl.gif

I think you did the right thing. thumbsup.gif
