Some one made a topic about this same thing on a different forum I go to. I do not know where they found it but according to its url it came from this blog that I dont know the language of. It seems to be a gaming blog so it may be a horrible truth.

Did you know that the only reason Mario had a mustache in Donkey Kong was because it was too hard to make a mouth back then? He also wears the hat because it was too hard to show hair and he wears that red and blue outfit so you can see his arms moving.
