Okay it took me a minute but I figured it out. Sheesh that was creepy at first tho. thumbsup.gif Good find.
BurnSide
Identical to the mystic ball. No magic, not even tricks, just plain and simple grade 6 maths.

Well it took me a minute to figure it out because I'm kinda a moron. I knew it was a math formula but I couldn't figure out how they knew which symbol would come up until I realized that they just changed the symbol for all the numbers that would work with that number pattern. Then I felt stupid. Took me 3 tries to figure it out. Not enough coffee today, methinks.

No matter what, if you take a two digit number, add each of the digits together and subtract that from the original number, you'll always get a multiple of 9. Always.
Chokmah
hm, tried it twice and it got it wrong. twice.

I beat the system! laugh.gif

Yeah but the part I was slow on was that they were changing all the pictures of the multiples of nine....I'm a goober, I know.... laugh.gif

You must have done it wrong then. hmm.gif Or you're a weirdo. Whichever.... thumbsup.gif
Lady_Anvilabeel
Yeh it just gives number 18 each time and rotates the symbols
BurnSide
hehe Leliel, i'm afraid if it was wrong you might need to brush up on your math skills. It can't actually be wrong..

Nice find. Always fun to try.. although I wasn't suprised.
I still remember when we first learned the table of 9 that I asked my teacher why this was,

9x2 = 18 - 1+8= 9
9x3 = 27 - 2+7= 9
9x4 = 36 - 3+6= 9
9x5 = 45 - 4+5= 9
9x6 = 54 - 5+4= 9
9x7 = 63 - 6+3= 9
9x8 = 72 - 7+2= 9
9x9 = 81 - 8+1= 9

And also the mirror effect in the numbers.

18 - 81
27 - 72
36 - 63
45 - 54

Only he never knew a good reason why it was.
Luckily we didn't have internet back then or else I wouldhave been stupid enough to look until I found the answer.. Still hard to believe how addicted I was to numbers back then.

i tried it 6 times it never worked on me it is just random guesses the game is using
BurnSide
No, it's not. It's multiples of 9. It's utterly impossible to ever be wrong i'm afraid.

If it's wrong, the only fault is your maths, or your eyes.
See the post above yours.

Yup, you’re right.

I have to admit it was kind of creepy at first. ph34r.gif
