My story is short n sweet. The time was in the wee hours of last Saturday morning at about 4:45am. The sky was beautiful n blue. The place that I rarely visit was at an old church that I used go to when I was younger. My Brother, Bill, a great musician, a devoted Christian , and there are other close persons that are buried there. I walked up to my brothers grave with the song Right In two by Tool. Something took over me and I just cried n cried quietly. I had never cried that way b4 and I could not believe on how much tears can come out of a person. Then about in the middle of song, with the drum solo, I have felt someone or something was suddenly with me. I did not see or hear anything .The wind was blowing lightly and I looked around a bit trying to not to cry and get a grip. The song finally ended with a guitar fading , and I did have the song loud. I walked back sensing that I did something musically significant. Bill loved playing his guitar and he was pretty excellent on it(Rock to Classical). I have told some stories about him in the threads. I thought I had to share with UM’s Ghosts, Hauntings and the Paranormal because this the closest that I had came to the Supernatural, to Bill, or to anything. Of course this story doesnt give the enough evidence to make me believe...

It it such a wonder to me, how music touches us to the core of our soul, and ministers to us- helping us find a way to release feelings that we need feel to begin healing.
Someone wrote in a thread somewhere on this site about how spirits can sometimes use things that they know we would recognize and that touch us deeply, to let us know they are there.
I think that he was letting you know that he is ok, and that it's alright to grieve, so that you will be ok too.

My condolences on the loss of your brother, a loss of family is nothing to be taken lightly. I'm quite sure that the music struck a cord within you....and, in turn, those who care for you.

Agreed Lady Warrior Ravynwynn; music is a healing force, and for me it has helped a lot. Like when my wife was ill, she told me to continue with the magazine, listening and reviewing albums of all sorts. It did feel strange to listen to and review death metal, since it is kinda bizarre, but it's still music, so there you go...

Music has helped me out thru a lot in life as well. I can never really relate to people who don't feel as much about music as I do.

that's a cool story bro, but I doubt he wanted you to cry. You should've like, rocked out with some air guitar or something on his grave. Crack a joke or two. Nah, I don't know. I know what it's like to lose a sibling though. It's only sad because society, or at least mine, tells you it is. Whoa...just heard 10 gunshots from afar...now that's pretty sad.
and yes, tool's pretty cool
