The Fallen One=/ Dimension
Well Might as well ask what went on because a few of my friends had no clue what it was.

Well It was late at night, I tried to sleep becuase my parents told me to.. and we had to go to Gettysburg in the morning, problem is I don't sleep much most of the time I don't sleep at all for weeks on end. But, the past few weeks days and such I've been getting an abundant amount of sleep. So while Laying in bed thinking on life in different spectrums and such. suddenly Out of the blue my eyes close and something goes through me like a ghost goes through a wall, and instantly felt paralized.

At first I thought it may have been just something abnormal something that I could blow off easy enough so, I just slowly calm myself and get up as fast as I could. Look around for a sign of anything and adjust my eyesight to see if anything was there. Then I go back to bed and notice the time was around 3:30 ish. when I lay back down again I was about to draw, or write in a jounral on events suddenly the same things happens to me again. and Im out almost like it was a sneak attack on my. Yet it was the same thing [I'm Guessing] That flew threw me. Thing is this time I broke it again and started to get very P'ofed [sorry for mild language I'm 17 though lol]

After the second time I was about to get up but then I suddnely just blacked out...and I really don't remember much...I didn't even do time to Astral project my body out or at least throw my consciousness into a body I have out there. But the strange thing that ties in with this is...about 10 minutes or so later My mom said she woke up and such. I didn't wake up till late the next morning like noon, but anyway The bed I slept on was hard as a rock and was different from what I've slept on before [sleeping on floor included.] So Just reaching out and asking what could've gone on there?

Alien Abduction, Ghosts, Demons? [Wasn't sure which topic to put this in so I saw Paranormal and put in there] Thanks for reading.

One of those energy-sucking "shadow people" thingies?

Was this near or at Gettysburg or a related site?

I'm pretty familiar with alien abduction experiences, and this doesn't sound like the same pattern.

Well technically I was about 40-50 minutes away from Gettysburg. By train ride at least.
All my energy still seemed to be in place and "There" so Not really sure, But then again I was on the verge of sleep so it could've been a multitude of things. The town I was in not sure, but its the place with the liberty bell in it and a few free mason buildings is all I remember. Not much of a town naming person.

I think I misread your story to mean that you were up when the second event happened. Yeah, it could be anything. If you were lying still, I'd chalk it up to hypnagogic hallucination.

Philadelphia? 2nd largest city on the East Coast? Birthplace of our nation? grin2.gif

After reading your post, I think you should have yourself checked out for certain
sleep disorders such as sleep paralysis or something like that before you conclude
that it is something paranormal. You'll probably find that the problem is something
very mundane and easily treatable.

Well, an episode of sleep paralysis here and there is normal. I don't think tests would necessarily reveal anything.

Chronic insomnia (as she described) plus lying awake thinking late at night equals high potential for a hypnagogic hallucination. I think that's totally normal.

Very true but don't you mean to say it's a rational explaination rather than normal?
There's nothing normal or healthy about Chronic insomnia or hypnotic hallucination.

I would agree with what has been said here already. Are you familar with sleep paralysis (SP)? It could explain what you experienced. As a sufferer of it myself ( 10 years) I know how quickly it can occur as your falling off to sleep. It can be so quick it's almost as if your body has fallen asleep chemically before your mind/concionus has altered or should i say its like falling alseep becomes out of sync between mind and body. I have studied this subject alot over the years and I remember reading somewhere that we can deeply fall asleep as quickly as a few seconds sometimes and that dreams can sometimes be as quick as 10 - 30 secs long. Our sense of time is something that is altered in sleep state and we can only recollect what we wake up on/during.....

Both.

Chronic insomnia is not "normal." It does happen under certain circumstances not attributable to some underlying abnormality, however. I think a lot if not most of the people with insomnia can make it go away by changing behavior. A 17 year old with spotty sleeping habits isn't really what I'd call abnormal.

But I was really referring to hypnagogic hallucinations. (I'm not familiar with the term "hypnotic hallucinations." Perhaps those are abnormal.) AFAIK, these are normal, i.e., they can happen to anyone and (again AFAIK) do not in any way indicate a disorder. They are in fact common, I believe. They are especially likely to accompany fatigue, as one might have if sleep-deprived.

As always, I have to say that this is not medical advice, just sharing the info I think is correct.

Hmm well Mainly I blame school for my lack of sleep and the fact that I never did like it because of a waste of time. It could be true, but then again it usually only happens when Im in school where I'd get the lowest amount of sleep. During the summer I usually spend a lot of time recollecting lost sleep and such, same going with holidays etc.

Hmm.. Don't think I've had an hallucination..at least not to my knowledge...but, I guess anything can happen when a sleep cycle is radically changed from no sleep to full head on 10+ hours in a day type thing.

Yes, actually you'd expect hypnagogic or hypnopompic hallucinations under those circumstances. Doesn't mean you're nuts or anything. Far from it. And it sounds exactly like that's what it is. Now if this stuff happens when you're up and moving around, it's a different story.
