leslie flint was the last direct voice medium , here in the uk and probably the world (that we know of).
( until we get such phenomena once again )

http://freewebs.com/afterlife/flint/flintrecordings.htm

on this link you will be able to download for free , or just listen to some of the communicators who came to speak via the ectoplasmic voice box.

thanks to Tom Harrison , who has made 120 of the communicators available on the web for all to hear..

All I ask is that you listen to his "Gandhi" rendition. When I get time I will find the link, unless of course someone else has it to hand.

Well this is some odd stuff.
Be it genuine or fake, it's still a good listen.

tom harrison (who set up the site) his mother ( minnie harrison )was a physical medium , she concentrated on materialisation ,rather than using the ectoplasm to make a voice box. (direct voice)

his own site is worth a look

he took some photos with infra red camera in the 1950's which are very clear :

Is that supposed to be a joke? Some woman with a net (net curtain) hanging from her mouth and we are supposed to see that as some evidence of mediumship?

Look closely, you can clearly see the folds and creases in the net. It's this kind of rubbish that gave paranormal research a bad name, until people take the subject and its research seriously this kind of crap will always do more harm than good. hmm.gif

.. thats some amount of research you have done on the mediumship of minnie harrison

as for the ectoplasm , lots of poeple say the it looks like cheesecloth etc. about any particular physical medium they say that

what would you prefer it to look like - it has to look like something wink2.gif

I won't apologize because my opinion of the lady is not what you want to hear. I was aware of her before posting in this thread. Forgive my cynicism, I'm not usually so blunt but seeing someone chew on a dish cloth and then having is passed off as mediumship is both amusing and insulting - insulting to those who are offered this as something genuine.

Do you actually think there's something in this?

Those are some very interesting pics, thanks for the link! thumbsup.gif

The Minnie H. pics are indistinguishable from fraudulent bunk. Good link, though. All info is good info, I think.

The voice tapes are a great primary source, and whoever put them up should have the gratitude of anyone doing research. Sadly, the sound quality is terrible, and there is not enough indication of material that might interest me. Specifically, I'd want to know if any of these tapes contain verifiable information that the medium could not have known. Conversely, I'd be interested in any statements of fact that are known to be in error. Otherwise, it's hours and hours of who knows what. "Mankind is in peril, be nice to each other, etc."

Great historical material, though.

Sheez, you're so negative! You could at least be happy to have material for the Museum of Total Crap.

I think it gives us a good name that we can tell flim-flam spiritualism from things that might actually be puzzling.
phenomenon
I'm sorry boorite, but this material doesn't warrant anything other than negativity. The museum of total crap you speak of is the very same museum that has given paranormal research its stigma.

How on earth do you expect a serious researcher to take some old dear sucking on a tea towel?

P.S Stop following me, your obsession is beginning to worry me. wink2.gif

boorite
I'm following everyone. Nice shoes, BTW.

Maybe it's my system or my speakers or the general poor condition of the recordings...but I can make-out little or nothing of the first couple of recordings that I "attempted" to listen to. I've never heard of Leslie Flint or Minnie Harrison.

I think they're saying, "Merrmm wow mwurrrum."
