Every night I have very vivid dreams. Many of my dreamns are very realistic and alot of times I am not myself in the dream. I am someone else. With someone else's memories, Its weird and hard to explain but for example....One time I had a dream I had the opportunity to speak to my fiance who was a soldier in Iraq via a big screen TV. (In real life I am married and have no loved ones in Iraq). Anyway, in the dream I somehow knew that I was in my very early twenties and that my fiance was of Italian descent and that we had been having problems previous to him leaving to Iraq. In the dream...the radio station that arranged this meeting via the screen (I had won some sort of contest) had me talking to my fiancee and I remember feeling very sad because my fiancee's reaction wasn't joyous like I had expected and I remember thinking..."Gosh....nothing has changed since he left...we're still having issues and I don't think he really loves me anymore". I knew In the dream that I was young....I had long blonde hair....i was thin. Like I was inside this person but yet I could see the person at the same time. Or not that I could see the person, more like how in real life you know what you look like without actually having to look in the mirror, kwim? Anyway.....last night I had a dream I was a 17 year old at a prom and I was olive skinned with black hair and I had a voluptious figure. Another dream I had I was an 8th grade girl attending a catholic school and I was wearing a uniform and I had two french braid in my hair and the teacher kept asking me for my absence note from the day before and I remembered that I didn't go to school because I had the flu and I left my mote on the dining room table. What kind of dreams are these that are so vivid and I am having thse memories within the dream that arent my own and I am actually someone else. Anyone have any feedback????i

These scenes all located at the same place sound familiar for some reason.

Really? You mean all located on this same post? Because the dreams all took place in different locations. I've had other dreams of this sort where I'm someone else but I just wonder if these dreams are actually called something and have other people had these types of dreams. These dreams all take place in the prest....in other workds in modern times. Only once I had a dream I was a little middle school girl in Germany and we're wearing thse brown uniforms and my little friend in the dream who was about 12 or 13 tells me she's pregnant and I was all worried thinking...what is she going to do....so young. I knew this was during world war 2 and it was just very weird because it took place in another time period.
ost of the time in these dreams I'm younger. Not always a child...sometimes in my twenties....sometimes my age(in my thirties) but never older. Weird huh?

my real question is....are these just artificial memories that just happen because I'm dreaming and they're just part of the dream? Like I know this person's story and history. Like I actually am this person.

Maybe you're a latent empath - the ability to read or 'pick up' on the personalities/memories of others.

Sounds possible. I've always been very sensisitve to the feelings of others and I can almost feel what they are feeling. When I wake up from these dreams i still feel the feeling of sadness or love or whatever it was i was feeling in the dreams.

I don't know. These just sound like normal dreams to me. I hardly ever have dreams in which I am "me." I've been young, old, male, female, alive, dead, black, white, short, tall, fat, skinny, a turtle once and once a tree. Sometimes I'm not even in the dream, I'm just watching it like a movie. I think all it means is that I dream.
