Full Version: "Seeing" with hands

One of the psychic skills is the ability to feel energy of objects, live and not.
Feeling is easiest with the palm of the hands or the fingertips (not touching, of course). This is sometimes describes as "seeing" with hand.

The basics of this skill is quite easy to develop and can lead to interesting experiments to be performed alone or with friends.

Read my description of developing the skill and the experiments that I've had with my friends:

Interesting stuff. blink.gif

You made this comment about a psychic diagnosis:

"Little in my life have I witnessed such a strong evidence of psychic power."

I then proceeded to show you how you were deceived. As yet you haven't replied to my "thorough" explanation. No suprises there then.

My personal opinion is that anyone who finds something so mundane as being told your child has sore throat incredibly psychic is possibly easily pleased. Baring that in mind I would seriously question the validity of your claims and conclude you are either misguided or making it up.

Yes but Derren Brown can do this too and he's not psychic...

Good day, phonomenon.

Unfortunately, I've not received your "thorough" explanation. I haven't got any comments on the site or in the email. Where did you post yet? If you have it saved, I'd be happy to read. Or post it here.

Anyway, you suggest that

I would generally agree with you, yet in this case, there were 2 things that made it more credible to me:
1. I specifically told the woman that the child had ear inflammation (as was examined by a child doctor) before she told me her diagnosis. So by stating that he had throat infection she took great chances of being wrong, going against a given diagnosis.
2. She told it was on the right side of the throat. Ok, so maybe it's about 50% chance (lower, actually). But it was unneccesary information, getting her more into the "chances game" and raising her chances of being wrong.

So overall, although it's hard to do the math on the chances here, would you agree with me that it was too risky for someone who just wants to "look" psychic to take the chances?
After all if you were in her place, would you "throw" into the air, that "no, doctors are wrong, he's got infection on the right side of his throat".
I know I wouldn't.

Moreover, this woman specifically had other successes with diagnosis which I've not told on my site, since they are more personal.

On another note why would a man who owns and runs a website on paranormal would be so sceptical? Are you also the sceptic on your site? Thus said, I wouldn't believe myself everything being said on these forums.

I'm skeptical for the same reason the majority are, I have yet to witness or see proof of anything remotely paranormal. My interest is what drives me and the site. Why do people assume that skeptics do not have an interest in the paranormal?

As for being the skeptic on my site, no, I'm not, I'm one of many. wink2.gif

When a skeptic gives their opinion, either saying they think its human error or deceit, that doesn't mean that's their general opinion. Giving an opinion based on nothing is cynical, I'm not sure I've ever written off a claim before hearing the details.

I explained your example of pychic diagnosis, a diagnosis you clearly state is the best example of pychic ability you have ever seen. You posted it on here, I replied on here. I would like to hear of the other examples, I strongly suspect clues were given for those aswell.

In that case, we are like-minded and could be friends grin2.gif
How about exchanging links between our sites?

One other thing I remember from my life. It was when I was in 11th grade, so about 12 years ago. I and my friend went to a local woman who claimed to be a psychic, also able to heal. But we went more for the interest. One of the times she explained us how visualizing flow of various colors through the body affects the body and the mind state. Like blue for healing, green for relaxation etc. So she asked that we both close our eyes and start to image "filling" ourselves with the color blue starting from the top of the head and down to the feet. At that time she was like she usually was when she "getting information".
Anyway, my visualization was well until I got to my knees. For some reason I couldn't imagine myself moving the blue color below my knees. After some time she tells me:
"You're stuck on your knees!". She also told where my friend got stuck (it was in his back and he acknowledged).

That was the first time in my life that I got some personal experience with a person with ESP. It really made me remember it.
