I believe I saw a ghost walking at about eleven pm on Fort Dix, more than two years ago. I didn't know it then, since I turned away to see him fade away, like my friend who was driving saw him do. I did think it was wierd he didn't turn his head to acknowledge us and how close we were to him. It was not until later that a ghost site had claims of him being seen and fading away.

Where/what time did you see the ghost you've seen?
(Wierd question, yes, but I'm trying to look for patterns)

I don't think that I've ever seen one in the "flesh" as it were, but, I htink that I've seen the effects of one.

mine went across an upstairs hall, from either mine or my sister's bedroom across to the upstairs common bathroom. I first saw it at the top of the stairs as I was on the landing headed up and it was already in motion. Only slightly translucent, very bright white but I wouldn't say glowing, almost typical "white sheet" ghost but there was no-one upstairs at the time. I think it was around dusk. The "hall" was about 12 to 14 feet long one direction with a branch about 20 to 25 feet another like an "L" and wasn't a "real" hall... more like a large landing at the top of stairs leading to 4 bedrooms, bathroom, and a closet.

I believe I was touched(actually, tugged-on) by a ghost at a very early age(around 6 or 7 years old), but I've never "seen" a ghost...at least not that I was aware of.

I have never seen or heard of one. I have suspected that there was something with me, or us, but it can be me or them and only our brains. I had only ghost hunting once this summer and I have plans to do more in the Fall. My most recent visit( my last topic) to my brother’s grave don’t count as an ghost hunt. For some odd reason I can’t ghost hunt there but I WANT to….I feel afraid and I feel that I shouldn’t. I can ghost hunt to other graves n churches and not being afraid but I do feel that I shouldn’t.

I've seen and heard ghosts all of my life. Usually they come at night when people are normally asleep. They still creep me out quite a bit.

I honestly didn't expect so much feedback

Thanks.
So far it looks like 60% is the number of people who've seen ghosts.
What exactly do these ghosts you've seen usually look like? People? Strange lights? Something else?

Only a few nights ago I saw what looked like a black ball of mist crossing over the bar that I was sitting at in this house I watch. It happened numerous times too. Throughout my life I've had opportunity to see other apparitions and experience poltergeist activity. I'm only wondering why I can't get myself regrounded enough to scry and "see" better in my crystals.

Well, sometimes these ghosts look like people and sometimes like animals or balls of light.
But, sometimes they are very scary looking. These ghosts usually are demons with balled heads and have a weird grin on their faces with sharp teeth. They have long claws and are in an arrange of grey to black in color. They always have black soulless pointy lizard-like eyes. They always manage to creep me out so bad that I can't sleep. I do also see angels and good spirits like faeries. Or these cat-like furry peoples. I don't know how to explain them sometimes. I also see my dead cat Sniffers all the time, just to visit.

Nope I have never seen one. Of course I would like to but it's not like I am planning to go hunting for them. You guys are lucky for sighting at least one.

It counts if you really think it was a ghost and you saw it firsthand

I personally have never seen a ghost and I don't think I ever will. I think the only
place I will see ghosts is in the movies.

Where's the 'I have seen one in one of my pictures' button? Well, I sort of have seen one, but it was only a flash of light in my bedroom when I was in bed and my eyes were closed. And the shades were definitly closed, so no light could have gotten through them.

That counts.
Incidentally, would anyone know where I could post a similar survey but on a site more representative of a typical population. (I mean targetting people not necessarily interested in or holding strong opinions about the supernatural)

I hate to admit it,

but hey, no one actually knows me here so I'll be honest.
Yes...and the times that it has happened I have gone over it and over it in my mind trying to rationalize and still have not come up with a plausible explanation.
Edit...do I ever have a post without a typo?
