I wasn't sure where to post this so please feel free to move it or even delete it if you think it's irrelevant.

Are there any skeptic forum leaders? It's not any kind of accusation as I have found no instances of the current leaders abusing their positions. I just wondered.

Sadly, there is not any. Though, I've found PA and Irish to be pretty fair in this section from my own experience posting here.

I'm sure if you PM SaRuMaN with your concerns, he'll take a gander into them. thumbsup.gif

It has been my experience that Irish and PA are even handed and tolerant. I should know, as I am one of their "problem children" grin2.gif yes.gif

I'm going to "third" that sentiment.

I don't believe that the forum leaders allow their religious philosophies to interfere with their moderator duties.

I also feel that there isn't a need to 'balance' the power structure by creating another mod who is skeptical. IMO, it would actually create more friction that it would solve as believers would run to PA or Irish to solve their problems, with skeptics hounding 'moderator skeptic'.

Yes. You may be right.

In fact you're all probably right. Just wondered is all. Didn't mean to imply anything.

Thanks original.gif

PA and Irish have been most even-handed and kind.

Let's not forget the Forum Leaders on other boards - good ol' Atheist Waspie Dwarf for the science boards, and the most definitely non-religious Aquatus 1 (sorry, can't recall exactly what he believes, just that we didn't agree on a lot of issues - you should post here more often aquatus grin2.gif ) leading the Conspiracies section.

hey, wait a minute - A skeptic leading the conspiracies? And dear God, Waspie. That's just plain discrimination - an Atheist science-board leader. They trying to say us believers can't be reasonable in science discussions mad.gif .......... unsure.gif ......................... rofl.gif tongue.gif

grin2.gif grin2.gif grin2.gif devil.gif grin2.gif grin2.gif Well, a few can, but the majority can't, even us Deists sometimes have trouble being reasonable on ID and other stuff.... yes.gif
BurnSide
Moderators and forum leaders are generally chosen not because of their own personal opinions or beliefs on certain subjects, but because they do not let those opinions or beliefs interfere with their moderation duties. Therefore in moderating, those personal feelings are irrevelvant. Mods/Leaders uphold the forum rules, not what the outcome of debates should be.

Oops, that Burnside criteria would mean - Name removed - should duck for cover, what with the edits to member threads, etc... he's perpetuated because he doesn't agree with the tenor of the post.

Just sayin, some of us pay attention to that sort of thing. yes.gif

No public accusations please, if you have a complaint to make against someone then send a private message or an e-mail to me about it. Out of respect I have edited out the name of the person you are referring to from your post.

I personally don't believe that the individual you mentioned has been doing any such thing, all our forum leaders are doing an excellent job.
