The second one is too large and can't be added to your signature.

The first one will work though, just add it using the same code you used to add it to this post:

I'm so glad someone opened this topic. original.gif

I'm trying to add this image to my signature; user posted image
It's well below the limit in all respects, because I edited it's original size on my photo server. Thing is, on the server the bug's little hands are animated as it squeezes the bear, in my photo server file, but when I add it here the animation stops. (as you can see )

However this is the original image: user posted image

How does this happen and how can it's code be applied to my signature so as to animate the little hands?
Thanks for any help in letting bug continue the affection. laugh.gif

Here's the best I could do for you, lol.

What program did you use to shrink the picture ?

Some programs will remove the animation from it when you save the resized version. One solution is if you have Paintshop Pro, the accompanying 'Animation Shop' program is ideal for resizing animated GIFs.

Someone from our animated avatar thread might have a better suggestion on how to easily resize an animated GIF without any special software.

Edit - Never mind, Wannabeskeptic has already done it for you. thumbsup.gif

Thank you again WBS. original.gif
And to answer your question Saru. I uploaded the animated larger image to my photo server and then edited it's size through their program. It remained animated however. It was when I took the IMG code and saved it to my signature file here, that it lost the animated aspect. sad.gif

Blame it on the Gremlins! That's what I do anyway. It gives them more credit than they deserve I'm sure, however since I am clueless to all things in animated/gif programs, it works for me. grin2.gif lol

Well, first you can rename the file so it doesn't take up 20+ characters in your signature - that might be the problem.

I looked at it, it's within the pixel size and file size limits. thumbsup.gif

Though, you're only allowed one image in your signature so you have to choose between that one or your current signature picture.

you have to choose between that one or your current signature picture.

....or just ask someone in this thread or even this thread to combine the two images into one image that's within the parameters thumbsup.gif
