People have been finding clumps of rock and stuff from mars for years now, and still haven't found any bacteria, or evidence of life. I was just wondering, would we know if there was bacteria on the rock, but the bacteria was destroyed in out atmosphere?

I do believe they would be looking for fossilized bactiria, not living bactiria. The evidience would survive entry thus proving at some point in time life did exist on mars.

They did but some scientists are now saying that the proof just does not add up, some scientists at nasa still stand behind the eviendenc that it's fossilized bactiria .

we are trying to find proof of like on mars...since mars is a really dry planet...and has enormous winds and low temperature..it is hard to find life or maybe even fossilized bacteria...its like trying to prove that mars had lakes and rivers...it takes time to get results...but im pretty sure they will find evidence that no other scientist can debunk like the alpha232359923ndskg93 rock thingy majigger that keeps getting tossed up lol

It's quite likely that some microorganisms could actually survive being blasted into space by a planetary impact and then smacking into the Earth aboard a hunk of rock.
What scientists found on the Martian meteorite is some extremely tiny nodules about a tenth the size of bacteria, at most. Some say they're could be the remnants of Martian microorganisms. Others say they're way too small. It's a very ambiguous finding.

Why is this a Cryptozoology thread? This should really be in
Extraterrestrial Life & The UFO Phenomenon. Sorry, I can't help being like that. I inherited it from my dad.
