Nope...best team in the east, I don't care what happened in Chicago the other day.
Further proof that The Heat is lethal even WITHOUT Dwayne Wade...94-90 over The Cleveland LeBron's to move 1 1/2 games over the Wizards(who will now be without both Caron Butler AND Gilbert Arenas for some time) and shoved Cleveland down from 2nd place in the east to 5th. Wade said he would like to play in the last 3-4 regular season games to get into shape...we'll see.

Don't worry, ALL that money that Chicago shelled-out for Ben Wallace and The Pistons defensive stats are almost IDENTICAL to what they were this same time last year!!! Just wait until The PLayoffs start, lol...sooner of later, just like last year, those 3-pointers will stop falling for Da Bulls and they'll have to come inside, lol.

Dallas looked pretty unbeatable LAST year to, it's a different game in the playoffs, especially when you end-up having to play a team(in a seven-game series) that you don't get a chance to play on a semi-regular basis....players emerge, match-up problems arise, problems that you only have a matter of days to compensate for and adjust to. Dallas(as well as MOST teams that are playoff bound will) will only go as far as their best players take them.

It's hard to believe that the Dallas Mavericks are down 1-2 vs. the Warriors. Much of the attention this season has been on the WC teams as to which has the best teams, but the 4-0 sweep by both the Bulls and Pistons does serve as a reminder that they are for real.

Man that sucks for Mavs 2-9 against the Warriors this year. If they had beaten the Warriors at least once this year they probably would not be playing them in the playoffs lol. I guess its not that bad they loss to a team that just can beat them I expect Dallas next year to get a big man that will punish this small ball lineup the Warriors run.
Dirk will falsely get hanged for this clearly he could not do anything in this series the Warriors D was all over him. Avery Johnson should of made up plays for Howard, Stackhouse, and terry all of them capable of breaking down that zone and going to the basket, but no lets give it to Dirk and take more outside shots.

Sorry, but I have absolutely no problem hanging this series loss(one of the worst I can remember considering The Mavs regular season win-total) on Nowitzki...none at all....your BEST players are supposed to play their best in the playoffs. Are you gonna try and tell me that absolutely NOBODY on that 62-win Mavs team could step-up and hit some shots and play some "D" if Nowitzki was being so "manhandled" by a nortoriusly tenacious defensive team coached by a notoriously defensive coach like Don Nelson..

..there is no excuse for them getting bounced in the first-round. If Nowitzki and Co. were stand-up guys, they would just admit that they were outplayed by a better team and not make any excuses.

But Dirk is a one dimensional player (he is a shooter) and on top of that he is a rhythm jump shooter you take that away and you got a 7 foot nothing and that is what the Warriors did with that zone. Avery Johnson's should of had his guards penetrate more thats how you score on a zone defense, all season they did this to other teams that played zone and all of a sudden they stop doing that and take a bunch of three's. Could of Dallas beat maybe, maybe not, they just did not attack the Warriors enough.
And I'm not saying the warriors are a bad team the best thing they did was get Jax from Indiana since then they were top team if they had him since the beginning of the season they might have been a 4th seed instead of an 8th seed

I wouldn't dream of debating how good the gameplan was in defending Nowitzki if I was going against The Mavs, that's who my top priority would be, my beef is with all the people who say that this SHOULDN'T be laid at the feet of Nowitzki...it should...he's the star player on that team, he's they're leader, he's the M.V.P. candidate, if not him...then who? Avery Johnson? Not in my humble opinion, there's only so much a coach can do from the sidelines, it's still up to the PLAYERS to PLAY AND EXECUTE....besides, what damn good is it for everyone to say what a "unique" talent Dirk is..and he is, but if you don't produce with that talent on the biggest stage in professional basketball, then what good is that talent....if all it takes to take him totally out of the game is a switch to a zone and a little physical play? He missed wide-open shots, he never took it strong to the basket(even in an attempt to set-up teamates) to get to the line...NOTHING. I'm sorry, but how much of an M.V.P. candidate can you be if your 7' tall and one-dimensional? He might as well be Brad Lohaus...remember him?

Your not the only one I've spoken to who seems to think that there's someone else on that 62-win team that led them in scoring(24.6) and rebounding(8.9), was third in assists(3.4), and is the face of that franchise....besides Mark Cuban, I mean.....in THAT respect, and given the remarks Dirk made about what happened to them LAST year in the playoffs, even IF Dirk and his terrible play WASN'T to blame for this years early exit(which I believe it was), his comments about how they lost last year served to do nothing but make him(a legitimate M.V.P. candidate in the regular season and a top-5 player in the world) look like he's not the guy to put a team on his shoulders and take them to the promised land.
Dirk is the main-man on that team, the one whose face pops-up opposite the other teams main-man(Kobe, Kidd, Nash...etc.) when they talk about the two teams matchup of superstars, in some cases(even though I personally don't believe that this is one of those cases), he HAS to be the one to take full responsibility even WHEN he isn't to blame for the loss......that's what a leader does.
The bottom-line is that Baron Davis and Co. got the job done, and Nowitzki and Co. diddn't, that's why one team is moving-on and the other will watch from the couch and have all off-season to remember this...maybe it will help serve as motivation for next years run, which they will UNDOUBTEDLY make again.
Nobody would vote for Kidd or McGrady for regular-season M.V.P. over Nowitzki this year, and the final voting tally will bear that out.

It just reinforces my point about Dirk in the playoffs, unfortunately. It's now the perception about him that is going to follow him his entire career until he steps-up and leads his team to the title.......Steve Nash is going to acquire the same stigma if he isn't careful.
