I've just noticed that a script keeps trying to run automatically every time I visit a thread or a board index (it doesn't occur on the main forum index), you can see it in the yellow bar in the image above. I haven't accepted it so I'm not sure what it is, and I don't really want to try in case it's something malicious. Is anyone else getting it, does anyone know what it is?

I have a newer version of Internet Explorer (BETA 2), so if it is something malicious it could be running on other peoples browsers and may be undetected, but I really have no idea...

It looks like you are running the beta version of the newest IE (forget which version). It could be that you are missing plugins to correctly run it

I'd normally think the same but I've had this version for well over a month and I've never had anything like this happen before.

The forum uses a lot of javascript to handle some of the more dynamic elements, such as the PM pop-up box, quick reply box etc.

I tend to agree with Dot, sounds like an issue with IE 7 Beta.

Do you get anything like this when accessing the forum using another browser ?
Raptor
It does only occur on Internet Explorer, but then again I'm not really familiar with any other browsers so I don't know if the other browsers have the same sort of system to block untrusted scripts.

Do you know of any processes on this forum which should be running using Apple QuickTime?
Saru
I've checked through the code but I can't find anything out of place, and there is nothing here which should require Quicktime to run. It's possible that IE 7 is simply misinterpreting what software is needed though.

I'm using IE 6 and i've never seen that error on here. Does it occur every time you view any page on the forum or is specific to a particular board/thread ?
Raptor
It occurs in every thread and every subforum

That's a possibility. I'll just do everyone a favour and upgrade to the latest version, I'll post whether that fixes the problem or not. thumbsup.gif

I updated to the latest version of Internet Explorer and haven't had the problem since, looks like it's just an issue with the forums code being unrecognised like you said. thumbsup.gif

That's good to hear, glad you got it sorted out. thumbsup.gif
