As you may or may not know, it is my Birthday Next month ( grin2.gif ) And I am getting A laptop. This weekend I am Getting Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. Now, Does Anyone know of any GFX cards for a Laptop that will be compatable with my game? I've checked the system Requirements, but they are all cards for PCs, Please help me

Lap tops aren't exactly built to play games with heavy graphics, the main reason being the heat and lack of fans/airflow. It's doubtful you'll find a card that will play Oblivion (well) in your laptop... if I were you I'd be getting a desk top if you plan to play games.

Dell and Alienware make gaming lap top systems, but they cost over $3 thousand dollars... ohmy.gif

Well, this may be a bit weird to say but... money is no object for PCs. My cousin owns a computer shop, So i can get anything I want for my PC for cheap, I got my current gfx card for £35 and its rrp was £125

I would call and talk to the salesmen there to find out for sure. The guys I talked to at Dell when I ordered my laptop had (no kidding here) special gaming guys on staff that had worked with all the games and knew what would run the best with what kind of gaming I did. Granted Everquest is no Oblivion but they did great and it runs just as fast and smooth as they promised - as well as all the other games I've tried. I use ATI MobilityRadeon X300 (PCI Express). By now there's probably newer goodies out there. I got my system for just under a grand and upgraded my ram through newegg.

No problemo, sorry I couldn't help more. I am wondering if there are some decent Oblivion forums where you could ask, there's gotta be some people out there running the games on laptops that don't cost a fortune... well too much of a fortune anyway...

That game looks really cool by the way. Thinking about checking it out myself but I'd have to give up some of my other addictions to make time for it unsure.gif
