We barely touched antartic's surface, let alone explore the whole contienent. After the global warming melts the ice in antartica, what do you think we will find underneeth it? It's basically untouched by man for millions of years after the ice age. Seriously, why isn't anyone bothering to explore Antartica fully? We could be finding alot of intersting stuff buried there. w00t.gif

What you think?

i belive a ufo crash site is located in the barren lands of antartica.

Dinosaurs HAVE been found on Antarctica...In fact, it was a lush rainforest during the Mesozoic Era. The most famous dino found in Antarctica is Cryolophosaurus.

lots of fun stufff im sure fossils of lots and lots of species of all sorts unknown to people today
Carajbu
Ah, Roj got to it before me.

People are exploring Anarctica. But it isn't like effin Hawai'i. It's cold, it's windy, it's cold it's barren, did I mention it's cold? It's not exactly paradise. Antarctica is huge. The risks involved even with experienced scientists are high.

Antarctica is hell frozen over. The ice is 15 miles deep in some places. What do you suggest we do? Get a giant snowplower and scrape it all off?

With the grinding of ice movement and then the shrinking and swelling as the ice melts and reforms before finally disappearing for a stretch of time to allow investigation, do you expect there would be little more than fragments?

Antartica metling will become one of the most destructive geological areas on the planet. Most evidence would be destroyed surely?

Are people not listening to me? Many, many species of dinosaurs have already been found in Anarctica, including theropods, hypsodonts, and nodosaurs. Many plant fossils have been found there also, indicating it was once a rich, lush rainforest.
Bone_Collector
Yeah, lots of Dinosaur bones. Maybe more undiscovered forms of life. Also, Oil and other minerals.
