Hi all,

Most of us on here would be familiar with the fictional series, Stargate, and more than likely, most of us on here are probably avid watchers of it, at least I am at any rate..
Something that has always intrigued me ever since I saw the original movie 12 years ago, was - could something like this technology actually exist, could man have access to this today??
Could something like a Stargate have been discovered here on earth, perhaps left here either intentionally or unwittingly by some race or culture that either lived here, or visited here long ago? A way out topic I know, but?

Any thoughts?

It would be nice but I doubt it, and yeah im an avid watcher, every few months I watch em all from the start got em on dvd, and then I dream about it.. sad eh.

Really loved the movie, but never got into the show. What is better, the movie or the series ?

The best answer is probably what would we do?
If we planned on returning to a planet then yes, we would likely store heavy pieces we created on that planet for use on that planet in the longest foreseable safe environment, the most stable and unchanging area of it.

I like the series, but it is science fiction... there is no stargate hidden away, no SG teams... IMO
