I got told by my mate the other day that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is being released online for PC, but not Xbox 360. Is this true? I hope so, as I got the game for pc and it has many properties of an online game.

thanks

Someones working on a mod for it. Bethesda themselves aren't putting it online. So far he can get two players in the same world with relative ease...not much more then that though... if I can remember where I found that I'll post the link...kinda limited from work though.....

Oblvion wouldn't work if it was online, it is based to much on single play. which is the reason they never put it up for online play.

still, the character creation seems a waste if only 'you' are gonna see it ~_~

IN all honesty it could work online, the problem is the amount of players who would wish to play on line would number in the thousands if not millions world wide, and the cost of up keep and such would be tremendous and plus it would be hard if you will to do it on line, as in the game you got total freedom doing quests everyone else could be doing the same quests.....

Anyway if you look at FF11 which isonline or World fo warcraft it would cost a fair bit per month just to play the thing.

Would be nice but it's highly unlikely it will happen due to cost purely.
