I have just recently got done watching a video on youtube about the power of faith. The video itself was good, but it was the responces and comments people left that awoke my darker self. I am gonna copy and paste some of the things people have said that is complete bull. Before you start reading these foul comments, i would like everyone here to know that i am slasher345. here they are:

people CLAIM to be christians. thats a very obvious answer. and besides, there are non guilty people that have been framed, or wrongfully judged. Oh, i know that you did this to proove a point (or tried to anyway), so answer my question:

Your on track jesuscumbucket but the only way we can destroy organized religion is if we destroy the people who are associated with it which is implying that we start a war against them. The only thing that would keeps it from happening is that over 75% of the world has some type of religious belief which is scary.

agreed, I don't want to start a war at this point for a few reasons. but to quote magneto "a war IS coming, its time to pick a side" i'd rather 20 people stand up for whats right than all of us die in ignorance, one day, and i think it will be within my lifetime, a war will come that pits the religions of the world against themselves.

Please, someone tell me why they are doing this! what did we ever do to deserve comments like these! People hate christians for what? creating the Make A wish Foundation? rebuilding the homes struck by katrina with the money we donate to curches? Or sending food to africa to feed people who are in dire need of food!?

When people think about christians nowdays, they get images of kkk, witch trials, inquisitions, but they ignore the fact that god didnt tell those people to do this! Whenever someone mentions christianity they instantly jump to the conclusion of it being a cult! These people disgust me! Someone please tell me i am not the only one defending our faith!

Some...... interesting.... replies to that video, vavelva. "America was founded on Christianity, so let's kill all Americans", that one made me laugh. The fact is that those who dislike organized religion bring up events hundreds of years in the past, or current events that are purpotrated by a small minority and use it to hurl against others under the same banner who have nothing to do with those events and would never do such a thing, either. And of course there are those in certain areas who have felt the effects of certain fundamentalist groups first hand.

That said, I think these boards have had enough "why pick on us poor CHristians" threads in recent times (and their "NB" counterpart). I've yet to see a thread with this premise finish well. Inevitably this is how the thread goes:

CHRISTIAN: stop picking on Christians, what have we done?
NON-CHRISTIAN: It works both ways, you know. We get picked on by Christians just as often.
C: I know, I'm just saying it from my side.
NC: So why start the thread?
C: To show our side of the story.
NC: Ok, here's my side - all those people who strap bombs to their chest, and you ask why we pick on you?
C: But they weren't "real Christians". Real Christians don't act like that.
NC: So what is a real Christian then? How can you say who is real or not?
C: *quotes Jesus* "Love your neighbour as yourself".
NC: *also quotes Jesus* "I came not to send peace, but a sword"
C: that's out of context.
NC: Oh, it's always out of context when we use the Bible.

And this is when the debate gets really ugly. For the sake of the sanity of all who read these boards, I'm going to close the thread before we get to that point.
