Best Asian (Japanese) horror flick I've ever seen was Audition. Hell, best horror flick I've seen in the last two years was Audition. Look into it, though.

I watched 3 Asian horror movies over the long week-end and I wouldn't really recommend any of these stinkers.

I watched Pulse - I didn't even realize it was a Japanese movie first. It was confusing and not scary at all. I'm going to have to watch the American version just to figure out what the heck was going on.

Tommie-was pretty decent. About a demon girl. Held my attention. Had that weird Japanese feel to it but not really scary. More mystery, I guess.

Marrionner - Complete and total suckage about a nut that makes women into puppets. Was very B movie and gory but not in a good way.

if you want to see a scary movie watch, Ichi the Killer

Ichi the Killer is quite possibly the most badass movie I have seen in years.

Suicide Club, Entrails of a Beautiful Woman and Old Boy are all great movies.

Be warned though all the movies mentioned above are very graphic. As for Old Boy it's story line as it progresses get stranger and weirder and for some very disturbing. EBW is straight up hardcore Gore with lot's of sex. Suicide Club is just f***ed up and the opening scene of the movie is so intense well you have to watch and see.

You cant really say a horror ain't scary when every one has a different view of what is scary, to me a scary film is in the fact that this could happen and this could happen to me, a good horror will get in your head and mess with it, not something that jumps out of the darkness. But if you want to get in to Asian films I would recommend 99% Tartan Asia Extreme, if you want to see a film that messes with ur head but ain't a horror watch Visitor Q, as mentioned above Audition is a good film.
