I have had weird, disturbing and horrid dreams my whole life, lately they have stopped, but last night i had a creepy one. I was sitting in a swamp and a big snake slithreed up to me, looked me right in the face and said. Someone very close to you is going to die soon. and then i woke up, it realy scared me. Anyone have any idea? you think its some kind of premonition or not? and what really scared me about that, was before i went to sleep and had that dream, i was writing something, and, i guess yuo could cal it a "vision" im not sure if it was, but all of a sudden i got a really vivid pictuer of a man walking down a hllway in a house, there were too doors on the right side, he passed the first one, and then when he got to the second one a man with a knife jumped out and stabbed him in the neck. It was dark though so i couldnt really see what they looked like.

Then i had that dream i told you about, when i add the two together, it makes me think that someone i know is going to be murdered very soon... anyone have any advice?

It's always possible. I posted previously on UM in regard to two visitations that related directly to co-workers' deaths.

Where things get a bit hazy in the case of your dream is with the subjectivity of "Very close" and "Soon". One could argue that all human souls are very close, and that 50 years is a blink in terms of geologic history.

Since you weren't able to perceive faces or otherwise sense the identities of those involved, I wouldn't let it worry you too much. Did you happen to see the outside of the house or notice any landmarks in the vision?

no i didnt, all the lights were out, it looked like it was night and the guy was coming home from work, all i saw was an outline, it looked like he was in a suit though, im not sure.

Well, from my experiences and things I have read, I've discovered that most dreams aren't as literal as they may seem. In many instances 'death' is considered a regeneration of some sort. You can try looking into a dream dictionary, but there are so many different interpretations of dreams, it's almost impossible to find your answer.

ok, so i talked to one of my friends who supposedly knows a lot about dream interpretation, and he said that most likely it was just a coincidence, but he did say one thing that kind of interested me. Supposedly, talking to snakes in your dreams is a sign of Satan contacting you...... of course that is just some Christian superstition, i guess realted to the story of Adam and Eve with the whole snake thing.... but its still interests me. I have been touched!!!! lol

we've all been touched by the because we are living in his territory, at least thats what i believe! haha!! any ways, your dream sounds like you have a lot of negative feelings and ideas in daily life, no? dreams are a great way to look at where you are in your realm of reality and how you are perceiving it and yourself. they can be a reference guide on how to help change yourself and become, yesss a better person mr. devil boy. i hope you have no plans of murdering people!!! its hard for an outside source to interpret your dreams due to us having no idea who you are in the sense of your mind/emotions/soul/etc etc

Judging from your avatar pic I would say you are already predisposed to those symbolic representations. My guess is that those elements manifest in your sleep in that context, only because they represent what is most active in your thoughts.
