For as long as I can remember, I have never experienced a bad lucid dream until last night. I usually like having lucid dreams but everything seemed to be against me in the one last night.

In lucid dreams I like to take the initiative to talk to the people in the dream & make daring moves without consequences. But in last night's lucid dream, people were not very nice & a daring move resulted in being chased by a group of people with the intent to kill or do harm to me.

I could have consciously ended the dream but lucid dreams are far & few between so I didn't want to miss the chance of experiencing it fully even though this one was unpleasant. I also don't believe this is a trend that will continue.

What are your experiences with lucid dreams? Can anyone shed light on why all of a sudden I got a bad one?

read a book by carlos casteneda called 'the art of dreaming' or visit the 'dreaming forum' at

they have many people who are adept at lucid dreaming and all sorts of topics that aid in dreaming abilities. when i first started trying to do it i had just read the book cover to cover and then again. it has been an invaluable aid to beginning dreaming and for advanced dreamers it explains what and who you might encounter in dreams. i'm a beginner and am at the stage where i'm able to decide what i'll do next in the dream---taking wild chances, imagining something i want to do and -wham- there it is! supposedly in the advanced stages one even encounters entities- some people, some not......

LucidElement,

It has been over a year since a reply has been made to this topic. I highly doubt this member will reply to your question. Besides, the answer is in her post. People were trying to harm her/kill her.
