Over the past 8 years I have had two very disturbing experiences.
The first was in Boston Ma. It was on Beacon Street at lunchtime.
I was at a large busy intersection with a throng of people and cars. Sound around me died down to quiet and time/motion became very slow. Across the street was a figure in a cape,riding boots, pale face. My impression it was a masculine presence. I felt no fear or threatened in anyway. We were aware of each other and them the world came slamming back into focus, bam loud and bright.

5 years later in New Orleans, Burbon street. I encounter a figure walking down the middle of the street cape, boots, long hair. It walked past me. I do not acknowledge it. It feels female. This time sound and time remain normal but no one in my group is seeing this oddly dressed person. The group decides to go back to the hotel to meet up with more folks. Just across from my hotel is a building with bricked over windows the windows are three, maybe four stories high. I have this compelling thought to look up and there standing on the window ledge of this building is the figure I saw on Burbon street. It is lauging and smirking at me. I sense it wants me to engage it in some manor and I turn and walk away. I felt fear from this presence.

Has anyone ever experienced this type of event and why do I see variations of the same figure/person. In the past few days these events have been invading my thoughts and I am afraid it means I am about to encounter someone again. I am too old for ghost stories and sillyness but this has me spooked.

Hello....what happened 8 years ago? Were you into anything "strange" at the time?
Can you remember anything at all that might have triggered this being into becoming interested in you?

This story seems kinda strange to me?

maybe you should talk to it---? ask it why you can see it or something....*shrugs* that's really wierd....

8 Years ago I was just going out to lunch on a beautiful October day. I was taking care of my two kids, working at my job to build my career,living in Boston because of my job. I am not a drinker or drug user. I don't even smoke. In the dictionary under goodie two shoes my picture appears. To date I haven't been under a doctors care for depression, brain tumors, or any other psychosis.
I am well over 40 and not looking for attention.This is just bothering me.

About talking to it. If I had been close enough to it in Boston I would have spoken to it I felt no danger. In New Orleans it frightened me. I felt it would hurt me.

I don't know if it will ever happen again. I just wondered if anyone else had ever had something like this happen to them.

Why did you not ask you friends, or whoever you were with, to see if they noticed anything strange? And when you saw the figure stood atop the building opposite, why didn’t you get someone to see if they could also see this apparition?

But saying that, it probably all happened fast, and is confusing and frightening, and it’s not until a little later when you have time to put it all together and figure what’s actually happening.

To be honest, I’ve never heard anything like this before.

With what we have been fed in the cinema, and TV, the first word that comes to mind, silly as it sounds, is Vampire. Not sure why, just your description puts in mind images you seen in the movies of how they are portrayed.
