Hey I'm not trying to cause problems or be whiny or anything, but I had a topic locked and I for the life of me can't figure out why. There was no explanation in the topic either. It just turned up locked.

Is there a rule between mods that a topic should have an explanation posted with it when it's locked? I'm just plain baffled.

Yeah, happened to that topic about the George Bush joke too. I mean, it went horifically off topic, but who really cares, so long as everyone was being civil. Although, we were talking about burning people. Meh, I'm apethetic now...

As for your thread, Coldethyl, there really is no obvious reason to close your topic. It's just the same as every other crazy story here.

Perhaps it was the subject matter. Some people might not be able to handle a story about necrophilia. You would still usually see an explanation though.

I was actually in the process of answering a couple of the questions by finding some links related to the topic such as jail terms sentenced to people found guilty of such crimes. When I came back to UM it was locked.

Anyone who is interested in those links can PM me.

Yes there is, else we get threads like this one; however sometimes it can be easily neglected when several things need to be dealt with at the same time.

If you aren't sure why a thread has been closed and no explanation has been given, please send a message to either myself or to one of the moderators.

In this case, I don't think news stories about necrophilia are very suitable for the forum, which will have been the reason it was closed.

Since this has now been solved, i'll go ahead and close this topic also.
