I went to a graveyard in my home town to take a picture for one of my book covers. I was using a new digital camera. I didn't download the pictures for a week and this is what I found. Here is the link. Go through the pictures slowly or the site will shut down. It takes about an hour for it to start up again (sorry - it's a free site so it has it's limitations)

Remember I couldn't see anything in person - only after they were downloaded and if you click on the orb and save it to your desk top and enlarge it - I see a face in it. That is a great photo. I personally don't believe that orbs are beings of any sort, as orbs can be reproduced easily with a bit of dust between the lens(or even on the lens) and the subject, the light of the flash, or in this case sunlight captured reflecting off the dust creates the effect. As for the faces it seems to be something that happens with a lot of lens flare type dots; I am not sure why as I am no photography expert, that is just my understanding from previous readings. I have a cheaper digital camera that I use for the fire department that causes "orbs" anytime that there is a single speck of dust on the lens and needs to be kept clean otherwise the photos are full of orbs...That is just my experience though and I don't want to bash your own beliefs on the matter.

Personally I think that getting photos of human like shapes is much better evidence and there have been some great examples that I have seen that I put much more stock in.

You have a very nice camera, it does take great pictures though

Enlarged the blue circle but could never make a face appear. I just might not be as perceptive as others are. Took a look at your sight. Really liked how you told the story with each individual picture. It wasn't clumped together in one long form. As for the blue orb. Can't argue that you tested the camera in other areas to make sure it worked. The first picture you took when you arrived back was clear. Then from the same stand point it appears and stays. Will be interesting to see what feed back the picture gets. It sure has me wondering.

Like Fluffy said, Orbs are made from dust or other particles. When the light passes through the lens, it gets spread creating an orb...Same principle with out-of-focus water drops...They sparkle.

Interesting and well presented Christy. You can clearly see that the graveyard pics are taken on different days but still this blue orb shows up. Weird!

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THE SITE DOESN'T WORK. It's because someone else viewed it and if it gets too busy the site will shut down for 1 hour. I'm sorry - it's a free yahoo site and that's what happens. If you want to see it check back and you will probably be able to. Also when you are going through the site go slow cuz it will shut down if you go too fast - I'm not sure what that's all about but I tried to space the pictures out between 10 different sites so it wouldn't do that. Well it works now.

Looks like it may be as a result of the sunlight hitting the lens...can't deny that it does look as out-of-place as an elevator in an outhouse...but I have a hard time with the "orb" theory already...were you going to use one of those pics of the graveyard for your book cover?

I was but I couldn't because I needed to reverse the color - change the picture from normal to solid blue and it causes a big brown rusty stain in the picture when you do that. The second picture on the website is a side shot of the same grave area. When you reverse the colors on that the thing is not an orb - it is huge. Whatever it is. I had to use one of the other shots - not from around these graves but a different one. I did finally make the cover to my book but I could never use any pictures from this area no matter how many I took. It's highly unusual. Take care and have a great day!

The face is there - I didn't see it at first myself. Someone had to point it out to me. When I actually saw what they were talking about it freaked me out a little. But you see faces in floor tile, ceiling tile, textured walls etc. So that doesn't prove much either.

Yeah and it's not always at the same time during the day but I am facing in the same direction each time - except the side shots I did. So I don't know what that's all about either. The side shots showed it too. It doesn't show as an orb in the side shots. And actually the only one that shows as a double orb is the first one. The rest of them are like a haze. That's unusual too. (I don't know - I didn't expect to find an old graveyard mystery while shooting the book cover for NEWSHOUNDS which is about an old graveyard mystery. LOL) What are the odds in that???

You might have to wait and try again later, the site will shut down if someone goes through it too fast and it will take slightly over an hour for it to come back up again. Sorry.
