the simpsons,family guy is funny,but the older simpsons are golden

the simpsons is funnier in more ways, for instance they use good comedy techniques like satire, intertextuality and slapstick to appeal to all kinds of audiences (yeah, i was lucky enough to write about the simpsons for an english essay, i got A* ) whereas family guy is more spontaneous, but overall i think the simpsons is better. after all it is the longest running sitcom in the history of television (english essay again)

come on people, it clearly has to be family guy. Simpsons was good for a while but it has become more childish, but it does have its moments.

Family guy is hilarious because it's shocking and random; but overall the Simpsons' entertains on every level of comedy..I'll go with them..

Definately Simpsons, sure family guy is funny but the simpsons are classic. Like Girty said, if Family guy is still funny after 16 seasons then i might consider changing that opinion

Family Guy humor is much more witty and updated.

Simpsons has changed over the years, and is "played out" IMO.
