Warmachine5000

Alright, this is how it went down.

it was awhile ago, not more than a year though. I was laying in bed on my back. I was trying to astral project or outta body experience or what havw you, then i couldnt move. My heart strarted to beat fast. Then i looked to my left, some dark figure stood there. It looked kinda like the Ring Wraith from LOTR. i freaked out! But i couldnt move. He came right next to my bed and put his hands out in front of me. I felt like i was sinking deep into the bed. I finally got my arm to move and tried to hit him. He moved and left through my mirror. I got up, turned on my light and looked around, nutthin to be seen. I turned off the light, went to the livin room, watched some tv and went to sleep out there.

So I dont know what to think of that one. If someone could give some insight or something it would be grand. if you need more clarification I will try so be even more specific. And If you just want to yell at me I dont really care what you have to say.
Cold.
It was a dream. alien.gif

It could do, but since you were trying to AP I would say it's more to do with that. You just didn't quite get there and could have been hypnagogia

It sounds to me like a dream. You admit that you were trying to sink down into a semi conscious state that is regard when attempting so called out of body experiences. You obviously fell asleep and entered a dream state. Of course it seemed real. I have many dreams that seem very very real.

I also lean towards it being a dream since you associated what you saw with a very identifiable character from a popular movie. Sounds like leftovers from that mind of yours.

I agree and also it still sounds like an episode of ASP. I have dealt with ASP since I was about 8 years old. I still remeber my very first episode and I was positve it realyhappend till I had more episodes and learned what was happening. In my first I remember talking to my friend and later when I came out of it she said I did talk to her and thought I sounded wierd. It was very real to me.

These sensations are classic to AP or SP - I think AP more in your case.
coldethyl
Why'd you try to hit it? You're kinda violent, aren't you?

It does seem like it around here doesn't it?

I'm one of those who thinks that what seems like SP might not necessarily be so. I have no idea what it was in your case, but there are elements common to many ET encounters.........just a little something to get you worrying. wink2.gif grin2.gif

Well you could say it's ASP, pretty sure it is, but if you believe in the other stuff you could say you were getting to close to the spirit world. And in the spirit world you need a strong spirit to survive. (Kinda like prison, act tough for become someone's BI) Anyways yeah... lol it's ASP scientifically. But spiritually, its the other kinda of thing. Because I have had the same experience as yours several times except the "wraith" doesn't run into my mirror and disappear.

Dreams can often seem real that way.

Well, get some anger management, anger management.

I will never manage my anger!

Ok, well if i was dreaming, what was the point of the dream? Dreams usually have a meaning, right? What was the purpose of this 30 second dream?

I don't think dreams always have to mean something. I think a lot of dreams are just our brains continuing to work while our bodies are resting (i.e. our imagination playing out a scene). Sometimes our dream imagination takes on meaning due to being related to stress we may be exeriencing over something specific, or something we're totally wrapped up in doing physically when we're awake, or just having our waking thoughts consumed by something... we can therefore often dream about it. I think dreams, for the most part, don't make any sense and are totally fictional pictures in our minds while resting.

I agree with ragus, but I think in your case your dream was telling you to get anger management.

move around, mostly in the corner of my eyes, I only saw it once and it makes a whisper noise and a crackling/gruggling type sound sometimes. The first time I saw it infront of me, it just stoof their and faded away eventually after a while but I'm so used to the experience that I don't really care anymore. I've had the experiences since I was like 9 atleast maybe 3-4 times a year.

weird...i think the same thing happened to me when i was 9 only i wasn't trying to AP, i had just suddenly woken up in the middle of the night to see a "wraith"-as you describe it- walking towards me. (it was a mini-wraith at least) i flipped over and prayed for it to leave. a couple minutes later i gathered up the courage to turn over to see if it had left. it had- and then i ran in to my parents' room and slept in between them for the rest of the night.

it was freaky dude- make fun of me i don't care- but i would like to know WTF that was. obviously it wasn't AP cuz i was in my body and i could definately move (i've never AP'ed before- the "AP" in my siggie stands for "attachment parenting", lol), and i was very much awake, i know the difference between a dream and reality. i remember it vividly. ohmy.gif i've had dreams that i thought were real at the moment i was dreaming them, but this was waaaaay different.

sorry to hijack the thread but just wanna let you know i've experienced kinda the same thing. i don't know how you were able to casually get up and watch tv after that!! blink.gif
