There are times when everyone feels that the world is just against them. Alot of the time it could be simple paranoia, or just an excuse for things going wrong.

I would love to believe that. Strange experiences have been going on around me for as long as I can recall. I cannot wear a watch be it electronic or wind up, pocket or wris****ch, without it going crazy within a week. It will be tuesday, thursday and saturday, of the 75 of june, in the year 4673. (just an example I truly dont recall what my last watch ended up saying) That being said I also have the worst of "bad luck". Things just happen that shouldn't. Doors wont open, windows slam shut (even being propped open), cars won't start. As soon as my wife or friends try to do it, door opens with ease, windows stay open w/o help, and that dang car starts up like nothing is wrong.

Stuff disappears and then reappears right where I thought I left them. What drove me to come back to UM and write this post was finding my car keys. The set of keys with my little gadget to unlock/lock doors and open my trunk went missing about 6 months back. About an hour ago I went to get a drink and I look at the key rack, there they are. My wife didn't see them this morning and no-one else, that I know of, has been in my house. My keys are just an example, I have lost money, remotes, and even one time lost a picture off the wall, which all came back just where I thought I left them. The picture was the strangest, you could see the outline on the wall for about two weeks and then one day, in the middle of the afternoon it was back. This is a common problem with me I could go on for hours with just recalling what has gone on.

Does anyone else have any similiar experiences or know of anyone who does. If so is there any known way to reverse or stop this. I have also considered that I may just be a little crazy and these things are there the whole time. If that is so then why can't anyone else see these things that aren't there.

Well look at that. Those asterisks are supposed to complete the word wris****ch. I have tried editing and it won't fix it. Oh well.

This has got to be a joke. If I'm wrong sorry for being so ignorant but really, is it considered a swear word or am I just being really really gullible?

We bought a house that was well over 100 years old and had that type of thing happen there quite often. Things would be moved around and disappear only to reappear in very odd places days or weeks later with no explination. At first we just passed it off as our own forgetfulness but soon it became pretty clear there was something else going on.. it was just too weird.

My father had a good story about this type of thing. He used to work for a company that demolished old houses. One reportedly "haunted" old abandoned house they wrecked turned up some pretty strange items. Literally IN the walls, they found old money, a watch, a key, and a old fashioned brush. I was young when he told me the story so I don't remember all the details. Maybe they were just items that were hidden or dropped down from a story above, or maybe it was a kleptomaniac ghost stashing his boody in it's favorite spot unsure.gif

Wrist-watch itself isn't the dirty word, it's the letters in the middle that are censored out that make up the dirty word blush.gif

Have had that experience but not to the extend you do. With acknowledging what was happening things started to slow down. Wasn't until I moved that now it only happens once in a while. Happens more to my daughter then me. The picture alone proves all this is not you. I am sure your wife has tried helping you locate things and looked in the same places you have and noticed the picture gone. Hopefully someone will answer that can give you some advice on how to correct this. *Strange how your post wouldn't let you complete "the word" and yet Episteme could. dontgetit.gif

I had these kind of experiences happen to me about 3 years ago. I talked to a friend of mine and she told me that it was something like a demon/evil entity attached or attracted to me for whatever reason. She suggested I tell it to leave me alone, to leave my home in the name of Jesus Christ. I did that and have not have another weird experience since. So it seems to have worked.

Just because I say this, doesn't mean that I absolutely believe this as an explanation. I am throwing it out here to see what anyone else has believed/experienced.
I have heard from a very level-headed, down-to-earth person I know, that she believes there can be unhappy, or playful fairy spirits that love to play pranks on people in their house.
I'll admit that sometimes when I lose something, the idea plays with my head just a little bit, until I find it and realized I was just being a zoner again.
Anyone of the Faerie faith have anything to say about this?

Thanks everyone, mostly for not bashing me, for your ideas and experiences. I apologize UM sorry for the unintentional swearing. (If I was going to swear we all know I would.)

Well, over the weekend I was thinking about the circumstances surrounding my experiences and a thought occurred to me. The problems that occur are always with things that I believe to be mine. The doors and windows do belong to my landlord, but when talking about them I say, "My door" or, "My window." If I borrow a book or movie from a friend, movie store, or library it never disappears. I may misplace them but when I realize that they are missing I will find them.
