It could be nice to have a Michael Jackson general discussion, for the fans only. I don't know if this will work- let's start typing anything about MJ, such as, for example, "Thriller is my favourite album because..." etc. For all the MJ fans I think it could be great, while other MJ topics on other sites are full of offensive messages

I like Michael Jackson. I would have liked it if he had had a real interview with Howard Stern back in the day getting all the dirty laundry aired to show his innocence.

If he was found guilty, people would say "OMG I KNEW HE WAS A PEDO LOL!!11"
But, he was found not guilty on all charges, yet people still say the same. Can someone tell me how that makes sense?

Now that I think about it... I like quite a few of his stuff heh... Smooth Criminal I even liked the video game...
It's when he was black or white and "Bad" that I really started losing him... Rockin Robin.

I love all of Michael Jackson. He definetly has lived up to his name 'King of Pop'. He still holds that title for one reason. There has never been anyone like Michael Jackson and there never will be. I would have to say that MJ,Elvis, & the Beatles,Mariah Carey, & Britney Spears are the greatest song artist of all times. Though I'm not a fan of the Beatles music-I don't mind. And though some may not like Brit S. and Mariah C.-has anyone that critisizes them actually looked at they're titles they hold in the industry and looked at they're record sales. There will never be any other artist like them!!! And oh yeah, lets not forget Phill Collins. I so would love him to sing at my wedding!!! LOL I guess there are too many singers I like.

He was talented when he was the age of the kids he molested invited to his ranch.
I liked 'Thriller' when I was five, then I grew up.
And for the last 15-odd years he has just been...creepy.
I am starting to suspect that he and Prince have some secret bet over who can act like the biggest closet case.

Maybe because he's admitted to sleeping in the same bed as little boys and doesn't see anything remotely wrong with it?
Anyway, that aside, to this day I am still a huge fan of 'Thriller', it's a great album and of course the song/video is the best of all time. And the dancing in the Smooth Criminal video is genius.

Good points:
1) The man can dance
2) You will never forget a MJ song
3) One of the best showmen in the world
4) Excentricity sells
5) Halloween wouldnt be the same without 'Thriller'
Bad Points:
1) He now looks like his character in Thriller
2) Billy Jean was not his lover... it turned out to be a young boy instead
3) Have you seen his childhood!
4) He speaks & still acts like a kid
5) Seems to have no grip on reality (not his fault to be fair).

actually, Billy Jean was a woman and the kid she had wasn't his son...

"Billie Jean" song was based on a fan that in 1981 wrote him a letter, telling him she had a baby that was his son. At first, Michael ignored it because he had already read millions of letters of that nature from other fans. But this young girl(she sent him a photo of hers) was tenacious and she kept sending him letters, saying she just couldn't stop thinking of him, and how happy she would be if they raised their child together. One letter-one of the dozens she wrote-was about the baby. She wrote that the baby and Michael had very similar eyes, and how could he ignore his own flesh and blood. Michael began having nightmares and thinking of her all the time("Why won't she leave me alone? She's crazy")
Then, it's the best part:the girl sent him a package with a photo of hers, and a weapon. She told him to suicide at a certain day and time. She would do the same, after killing the baby. She told him that if they could not be together in this life, they would be in the next.

Michael framed the picture in his house to be sure he would recognize her if she showed up. But she never did. She was sent to an insane asylum.

So, he finally got rid of her.

Has any of you listened to "Got To Be There"? It has some great songs:"Rockin' Robin", "Wings Of My Love", "I Wanna Be Where You Are" and my favourite, "Ain't No Sunshine". Listening to it makes you think how talented he was even so young (1971, only 13 years old)

Michael Jackson sings in "Wanna Be Startin' Something": "Billie Jean is always talkin'/When nobody else is talkin'/Telling lies and rubbing shoulders/So they called her mouth a motor"

Michael had taken this story very seriously
I'm wondering if the 'Thriller" album is dedicated to that insane girl-do you think her real name was Billie Jean???

Have you ever noticed that both the severely mentally handicapped and geniuses always tend to be extreme in nature, either very angelic or very evil?
Also there is further irony connected to those with great intelligence and talent. They often communicate at a level that is difficult for most others to understand and follow or relate to, so the natural human tendency to seek connection causes the angelic geniuses and the evil geniuses to become uncomfortable but often steady companions over long periods of time. As soon as events occur that either wishes to discuss and sort through, they end up running in each others direction to seek out answers.
I think it is fairly obvious that Michael Jackson is an evil genius, so it would be interesting to learn who his closest friends through the years have been who he did not keep in contact with regularly, but did constantly in a sporadic fashion through the decades.
