I found this vid and have watched it about 20 times trying to figure out whether it is fake or not without much joy

http://www.angelsghosts.com/prison_ghost_video.html

Would this be easy to reproduce or is there a logical explanation that Im missing?
Ive thought about a possible warp in the film tape but not sure.

Ok, that was originally shot by TAPS when they were on investigation here in Philadelphia.

I don't believe that it is a fake. They were using digital video cameras which link back to a central hard drive, thus no warping.

TAPS tried to recreate it multiple times... no success.

I agree with Wookie. Saw the episode and they did try to recreate it. I think it is real.

You can see a shed load of energy in that shot even before the figure appears. Pretty cool!

ph34r.gif Man that was creepy! It looks like a blast of wind at first, but you can clearly see a figure coming towards you and walks away quickly. Eeep! I don't know how some people can brave out ghost hunts like that. I'd rather be a tornado chaser! laugh.gif

Download quicktime to view the video.

I would say it's just someone in a black cape, but the ease it had turning around makes me think otherwise. Then again, people did know TAPS were going to be there investigating.

Oh without even having to watch the video, I know exactly what you guys are talking about. If i am not mistaken, I believe they admitted that it was a fake, not by them, but by people who contacted them for the investigation. I may have it mixed up with the cruise liner they also investigated...im not sure...AHHHH

Kinda looks a little like you can see a leg appear as a fold of cloak swooshes back when the figure turns around. I would love for that to be real, but why does it always seem that ghosts seem to wait for the perfect shot to be set up and they always perform on command?

I have been able to view the video, but did not watch the episode that this was on. I missed the one at the Philly prison. Though, I did watch the episode of the investigation of the QE2, which is the episode on the cruise liner you mentioned. It was the investigation on the QE2, in which someone pulled the prank that the TAPS guys were able to figure out was a prank. They left videos on constantly in one particular room, reported to be hunted by someone who constantly pulls down the covers of a made up bed. The camera was shooting at the bed, and at first it was freaky, because you see the covers being pulled off the bed by an invisible force. It was not until one of the TAPS guys examined the video and noticed a glitch in the video that showed a spot where the camera was paused during various times to cover someone pulling the covers off.
Glancing at the prison video, I agree that it is very freaky to watch. I do happen to see through the figure, and I wonder how anyone can themselves repeat that. I am sure someone will, if they can, but again, watching is really creepy.

If you go to the TAPS website they make the comment that you can't see the figure move away from the camera. Until I read that I thought it might be real. But you can clearly see the figure turn and head away from the camera. You can see a pant leg and a tennis shoe also. Making the statement that they did causes me to pause whenever considering any of their video footage from now. I still love the show, I'm just a little more leary of anything being "real" now.

Tried to go back and find the link, but they have cahnged their webpage. On the right of their front page they used to have some vidoe clips with comments by them. They are no longer there.

There's also the West Virginia State Penitentiary at: Scare ME

This Pen. was claimed as being one of the BLOODIEST Prisons in this country when it was open "for business".
It is a huge place and is supposed to be extremely haunted.
It is a place that MTV used to film in for one of their programmes called FEAR.

If watching a video of something paranormal and the hair on the back of your neck stands up, it is real.
