I've been thinking about writing a novel for a while now, and tonight I spent about 20-30 minutes planning the storyline/plot. Although it may not be totally obvious what the story will be about, you'll soon understand. I'll update this thread everyday or so with the newly added bits.

Comments are indeed welcomed original.gif

Collapse, a Novel.

September 22, 2007

Gavin stood up tall, and reviewed the plan once more in his head.
"It’s go time." he whispered while reaching deep in his pockets.
The huge double doors to the schools cafeteria swung open, as if by demanding force. Screams broke out as three men heavily suited with arms and protective gear ran through the populated lunch room.
With a sudden jolt Gavin was read-ended by three security guards, tackled face first into the cold marble floor. Pinned to the ground Gavin fought forcefully, trying to obtain control over the newly found situation. His seemingly perfect idea was completely crushed yet he had no idea how the police could have gotten involved so soon. He knew they would arrive, but now was much earlier then expected. Realizing his chances were getting slimmer by the second, he let his body fall limp.

Chapter 1:

Summer was coming to a quick closure, yet Gavin couldn't grasp how soon it was ending. He knew what dreaded events followed the summer. His graduation year of 2007 was starting in less than a few days.

I'll crit your piece, but not here - this is more of a 'casual discussion' forum than a crit forum. Click the link just above my signature. You'll get honest critiques on your work.

Serious writers only, please. No poetry like the one you put on Sthenno's thread. I liked your opening chapter portion and I see you can write. But can you REALLY write if you had to?
