Hello draconic chronicler
Thank you for your interesting and informative information and view points I appricate the time you took to answer me.
I understand that the wings were as wide as a normal road....30 to 40 feet? I think the people were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I know some of you don't buy the story....that's okay.

Not to offend anyone here but, I am not here asking to be validated by any one. My friend asked if I would put this on the web....she does not have a compter and I said I would. It doesn't matter if you believe or not. The web site says it all.....unexplained mysteries! That is what I am talking about.
I didn't come here to verbally get into arm wrestle with anyone over the subject matter or have my head ripped off for having a different point of view so far no one has tried that!

.I was looking for reasonable intelligent people who are willing to share information on this subject matter. I thougt it could save me some time on the web. I have done some research over the years myself.
For anyone who is interested in these flying creatures you can check out a news article from the The News Tribune written by C.R. Roberts dated August 24, 1994 in Tocoma, Wasington....article...."Mount Rainer-area youth has close encounter in the foothills". Young Brian Canfield, 18 alone on his way home from Buckley to the isolated Camp One, located in the Mount Rainer foothills above Lake Kapowsin described a winged creature about 9 feet tall with claws, blue-tinted fur, yellowsih eyes, sharp teeth and trfted ears. It wings were as wide as the road. It was an interesting article.
I also read John A. Keel's book "the Mothman Prophecies"....and saw the movie, but it was not as good as the book.
Several years after my friend told me this story I pick up a book, "Natural or Supernatural? A Casebook of True, Unexplained Mysteries" by Martin S. Caidin. In it I was a story of U.S Marine David E. Gower. The encounter took place on December 17, 1974 in Vietnam. He was serving in Nam with the Fifth Special Forces Group, Marine Detachment. They were pulling duty north of the DMZ and had been in that area before. It was a search and destroy mission. The delivery boys from the PBR (patrol boat, river) despoited them on an embankment some fourty miles north of thier starting point in the middle of nowhere. He had a six man group under him. They were to set up an ambush for the enemy. The fire power was a BAR (the Browning Automatic Rifle), M79 genade launcher, one light machine gun (Thompson Subgun, caliber. 45) and four M16 fifles with alot of ammo. They were hoping to catch the North Vietnamese Army ground supply convoy, moving with pack mules headed to south to the DMZ to reinforce enemy troops there. The PBR was to take them up river, drop them off and then move back down stream a distance of at least 300 yards and wait under cover of their camouflage nets and low-handing branches. The plan was to wait for thier signal by hand-carried radio, or if they heard them with heavier firepower. They broke through to an unexpected clearing. They felt someting strange in the area. There wasn't a sound not even from the insects! It was the same with the animals! One of then men made a sweep and came back to tell them that there wasn't anything alive or moving within 30 meters of the clearing. They were hopped up with the feeling something was very wrong. One of men found a strange fecal deosit on the ground it baffled him. Dropping shouldn't bother anyone where in the jungle was full of everything from tiny mice to huge tigers. What ever was out in the bush was a lot of them or else something really large and clusmy like a water buffalo. Then the spotted at least three of beings.
They were a minimum of seven feet tall, one at least eight feet tall or taller and they were bright yellow. They had large three-digit hands and four inch claws. They thing appearsed to have two eyes, some sort of nose slit on flat faces and audio holes the upper part of the sides of their heads. The yellow light seemed to be generated by these things. The light was unholy and unmistakable. They were massive. They moved slowly across the clearing and passed right by them. The men moved closely to check for foot prints. They were three-toed tracks. They were the same as the hands. He told the men to get the "H" out of there and the Big Yellows turned and charged after them. He could hear a wheezing kind of growl. He knew he was going to die. He was less than 25 feet when he turned and fired. It had snakelike eyes and large fangs. He let the creature have it with everything he had....any man loaded like him was a killing machine. He gave it everthing and it kept on coming. He ran like "H" and leaped into the PBR and hollered for the crewmen to open fire where he came out....powerful wenty-millimeter cannon anti-aircraft guns. The lead creature stayed concealed for awhile. Going downriver seven of the men watched the riverbank area shimmer....a great spray of yellow expanded outward like a silent explosion of yellow fog.....it was nighttime and they could see the incredible yellow glow. No way to tell any numbers of the things. They didn't care they wanted the H out of there.
Several years later David Gower researched everything from anthropological to the supernatural ( like many of us do when we have a strange encounter). He came across a book entitled, The Tomb by F. Paul Wilson. Wilson's descriptions of strange and terrible creatures described what he had seen in Vietnam. He tried writing to him and the publisher but no response.
Read the books.....they are very informative.....good reading. You won't be disappointed.
Another good read is "Into the Out of" by Alan Dean Foster.....he speaks of a doorway being opened or some kind of tear between the natural and the surpernatural. I tend to believe these creatures are from the supernatural.....the supernatural can look, feel and smell real....to us.
I was into the New Age before it became popular and before it came out of the closet in 1975. I have read numerous books about the New Age, the Occult, the Paranormal and etc. I had a supernatural encounter one of which no one ever heard of or could explain.....almost 10 years later I found a book that told of a simlar experience. I am not here to thump you with the Bible....or change your beliefs I couldn't change your belief if I tried. Life is a series of choices and those choice lead us to where we are and where we will be later....in this life and afterwards.
I am a Christian and I met Jesus face to face when I almost died..... I also had angels come to me and save me on several occassions. Some believe it is mind over matter....or positive thinking. Not in my case. Sometimes I wanted to live and at least one time I wanted to die(couldn't stand the pain anymore!) when I was saved on those occassions. The doctors knew that a miracle had happen in those circumstances. For one thing there was nothing the doctors could do, but try to spare me some of the pain but they couldn't save my life....and within minutes(after Jesus came to see me in the hospital) I was fine. Shocked all the nurses and the doctor. I was on death's door one minute and fine next. Almost finished with a book I am witting about many of the things I have encountered in my life. I have met others who have had similar encounters....I am not alone. I do believe their is decption, dismisinformation and confusion going on in our world both on the physically level and the spiritual involving mankind.
Like I said I am not here to offend anyone.....searching for answers just like the rest of you.
Thanks for sharing....if anyone has some real good sites or books to read on the subject matter I woud be interested.
