Ok, I wasn't sure where this should go. Since this is I creature, I thought maybe the crypto, but this is thing is a parnormal creature. So I it here. Ok, to the point. Ok, there's this weird creature called "It" that supposedly haunts Leap Castle, the most haunted castle in Ireland. I wanted more info so I googled it. Here is the story I found:
The third incident to add to the sinister presences of Leap came with a woman named Mildred Darby. Mildred was known to experiment with black magic, and through her rituals a new creature emerged at Leap: the fire elemental. Mildred described this creature in her journal:
“I was standing in the Gallery looking down at the main floor, when I felt somebody put a hand on my shoulder. The thing was about the size of a sheep. Thin guanting shadowy..., its face was human, to be more accurate inhuman. Its lust in its eyes which seemed half decomposed in black cavities stared into mine. The horrible smell one hundred times intensified came up into my face, giving me a deadly nausea. It was the smell of a decomposing corpse."
Now, I did not type this, I copy pasted it from a site about the hauntings of Leap Castle. Whoever made it, I give full credit to. Anyways, this is very weird. Any thoughts on th reason why it came and what it is? I just thought this story was particularly interesting, and should be shared with the members of UM.

To theatrical....to sensational....and wayyyyyyyyy to small(if it was the size of a sheep) to put it's hand on anybody's shoulder...except for maybe Mini-me...

Nice story, though.

No, I'm not googling it. Just briefly outline it. How do you know it sounds like the same creature if you can't outline the incident and expand a bit more on your comparison? That's all I'm asking for is a bit of a comparison.
You don't have to be a smarty pants and just say 'google it' because googling it isn't going to tell me how you think it's like the Leap Castle creature is it now?

I didnt say its the same thing. I said it sounds like it. Its a ghost or something that scares people to death and its at berkeley square I forgot what it looks like. I am not good at this so thats why I told you to google it.

The thing at Berkley Square was never identified apart from a presence that frightened people so much they either died or went too crazy to say what it looked like. Don't sound nowt like a sheep to me.

Okay fine. I wasn't trying to be mean or anything I was just interested in the comparisons that's all.
And it kinda burns my behind when someone says 'google it'.

No biggie.

I think the only similarities are between the term 'thing' and the term 'it'.

Well whatever it was I don't think it was the devil, I just thought I'd say that before someone says it is! LOL

Looked for pictures of any type of Leap Castle. All I found was a black and white one of the outside. Looked a little touched to be scary. Didn't find anything new or any recent writings on activity.

Ehhh...I'm not sure what it was. But I couldn't really find anything else on this..."It". That's the only story I could find. I wonder if it's still around.

True! The only comparison you can have between them two is that both were "dark"

"It"? Well, that's a creative name.

Well if you're too lazy to type the name in a browser to search for the results why shouldn't they be to lazy to type it all out. If you did google it it would tell you why they saw simularities by showing you the pages (probably the same ones they had read) about the other. Anyway...
Shadowy figure sheep size that put a hand on someone's shoulder? Yeah that just don't fit. Also smelled of rotting corpses...what about this makes anyone think Fire Elemental? -boggle-

I guess I'll type this again since someone is too lazy to read. Typing the name into google isn't going to give my his opinions is it? It has nothing to do with being lazy.

Well I've read quite a bit about the 'thing' at Berkely Square and I still see no similarities apart from a nondescript name. Both interesting stories though. The house at Berkeley square is a bookshop now I believe, and the 'sightings' seem to have subsided.

This is SO freaking weird! I was just about to make a post asking if someone knew that address, but I forgot what the actual square was called. . . I'm happy I happened upon this thread. . .now I don't have to make a new one just to ask a stupid question.

i saw a program on this a year or so ago. The "it" is actually an elemental. It isnt actually one thing it is kind of a shapeshifter, if u like and can appear as a lot of things. The program i saw said that the most common form it took was that of a large black dog with red eyes accompanied by a smell like rotten flesh. It said that an elemental is not the spirit of a human but is created by emotion and feelings. There was a mass murder at leap castle if i remember rightly, a whole clan was invited for dinner at the castle and then poisoned. The anger and hatred form the murdered is supposed to have created the elemental which haunts leap castle to this day. It has been seen by many people according to the tv program i saw and particularly in a certain room. Sightings normally occur with a feeling of dread followed by a repulsive stench of rotten flesh then when you turn to leave the room the demon dog is on the stairs at the exit snarling at you!! Id rather see a standard human apparition anyday!!!
