Thank you all for your imput yesterday. I tried the experiment last night. I walked under streetlight and then stopped for 3 mins. Streetlight did not come back on. I guess I wasn't fully open with everyone. For fear of ridicule. I own a cabin on a lake. I often find myself waking up late at night and having a overwhelming urge to go outside. I find myself in front of the door before my senses return. I have also seen silent sky objects. When I was 10, my whole room lit up a bright green color. I feel very uneasy in darkness. Those are some of the reasons why I know it is something more than "electricity". Sorry I didn't elaborate yesterday, but I had to test the waters. Anyone experience any of these?

For those of us not here yesterday, could you link to what you're talking about?

just joined this forum so please don't make fun of me yet. When I walk under streetlights, they tend to go out. I thought it was a coincidence for awhile, until it started happening all the time. I read somewhere that some people are more "magnetic" than others, but coupled with other things that go on I doubt it. I also read another reason could be alien abduction. Anyone have any thoughts or should I move to a log cabin?

Well I didn't plan on making fun of you, I just didn't know what you were referring to in the first post here.

Are the streetlights maybe motion sensitive and they're just going out because of motion?

With everything else happening, I don't know what to believe. But no. I live in Northern Ontario Canada, and we have plain streetlights.

Can understand why you want to take things slowly. Some responses can be out of line.
Have never experienced sightings to the extent you have. With the events you have described you have every reason to think what you do. Trying to remember, did you say that street lights are the only thing that is affected? If so, I don't know what makes street lights any different from any other electrical appliance you may come across. Don't like the dark either. Have my tv going to make noise and I wear one of those eye masks. That way there it is dark for me to try and sleep yet in an instant I can left it and have light. When you wake up and at the front door, do you have any feelings of why you should go out? Like, should you be doing something, or getting something? Am not trying to be noisy, just trying to understand. original.gif

When I am at the cabin, I feel very uneasy. I love going there, but I hate it also. When I feel that urge to go outside, I experience almost a state of high anxiety. Like a fight or flight response. It takes everything I have to stay inside. My mother was actually in the bedroom with me when it turned bright green. So I know I'm not crazy on that point. But the cabin and flying dreams and the streetlights bother me. I know I'm not overly magnetic because the rest of my home is fine. Nothing shorts out or malfunctions in any way. I am a university educated woman and I need to find out what is going on.

Have you thought about panick/anxiety attacks?

The dreams could just be dreams

Or

Perhaps you are sensitive to the energy/vibe in the cabin and it's of negitive causing your reaction. Does that only happen in the cabin?

If it happens all the time can you get it on video? (the street lights going out with you walking underneath them). If it is not all the time could it just be a coincidence, such as timers?

edit: Would love to see the footage!!!

Yeah great idea, this is something you could record on camera!

Yeah come back with video. That would be good.

I used to experience the same thing, I still may, but stopped paying attention to it. I wondered myself if it was because they were motion-sensored but then thought if they were, wouldnt they be off first and then turn on? Why would it be programmed to turn off if someone was nearby and most-likely needed the light?

?? Im stumped.

aaaand I just read the rest of your guys responses, and well I hate to say it but im kinda lazy to do something like that. I don't have a recorder but I will watch to see if it still happens and then I will make it a point to get my hands on one.

Im glad someone actually mentioned this, and im not the only one who feels theres something strange about it. I would drive past one and it would go off, and even before I would actually get to it, I would alert the person driving with me and say "watch that street light will go off as soon as I drive by, and sure enough it did. They would look at me like I was nuts.

Try reading "the long dark teatime of the soul" by Douglas Adams

"If your bodies EMF is different that most people then you will most likely interfer with anything electrical or electronic, since both create their own EMF and involve many frequencies. And if your EMF is very different then you will most likely be able to control electronic devices with your mind and sometimes fry them."

This was taken from another forum, not sure if I believe it.

The first thing that did pop into my mind, was the fact that I killed the engine in my car and the mechanic could not figure out how it happened. He said it shouldn't have happened so quickly anyway. The electrical system blew and caused my engine to fry. Come to think of it, Im always having problems with my electrical system in the car, I ALWAYS complain about it!

Meh. Probably just tricking myself now.
