OK thought i would add a couple more stories from my parents house. Most of our family has felt or seen different things in the house. I have a thread on here also about "is this an orb" This is taken in my parents house.

The earliest story comes from when my sister moved back home from Toronto with her young son. My brother and younger sister were also still living at home at the time. We put my sister up in the laundry room on a foldup bed until she could find a place to live. That night when she was sleeping, she awoke to feel someone stroking her hair. she didnt dare move or reach above her to turn on the light!
Her son was only little and he bunked in with me on the floor of my bedroom on a spare mattress. He said that he saw shadowy figures on the ceiling of my bedroom and that really spooked me as I had not felt anything in my room...? ohmy.gif

Another time my younger sister was at home with my mum and she said she saw the spirit of an old man sitting in the chair on the basement living room and ran upstairs very upset and told my mum. when she went down there was nothing there. Interestingly though, the basement used to be an apartment and there was a gentleman that lived in the basement. He died long before we bought the house but we do not know if he died in the house or not. ohmy.gif

Another time my younger sister was alone looking after the house while we were away and she said all the cushions were off the front living room sofa and on the floor! Another time she came into the kitchen and all the kitchen cupboards were open? ohmy.gif

I was sitting at our kitchen table and to my right was the backdoor of the house and to the left was the hallway like a letter T that went up and then left and right. To the right on the hall was the bathroom door, to the left was the hall to the stairs. I saw somethiong out the corner of my eye and it was an older lady in a long victorian type black dress come out of the bathrom door and walk down the hall. ohmy.gif

Another time mum was sat in the living room and where our tv is, there is a small hatch into the kitchen. She said she was watching tv and she saw a dark figure walk in the backdoor and through into the hallway as if he was going to come into the living room! ohmy.gif

Many a time my mum has "sensed" someone being with her in the basement and when she looked there was noone there. A couple of weeks ago, she was in the basement doing laundry and she saw someone come down the stairs and go into the workshop area she thought it was dad or me but we do not own bright colored overalls! ohmy.gif

Any time we go away, our neighbor over the back always watches the house for us. We tell him who is coming to look after the house(which sister etc and car). Well this has happened a few times in that he has seen someone in a red sweater come into the back kitchen and walk past the window. When he has seen this, my sisters have not been at the house that day...! ohmy.gif

Lastly our backdoor has a set of windchime bell type things that sound like small cow bells. Anyways I was laying in bed the other morning contemplating getting up when I heard the back door open and the bells go and a "Hellooo"! I got up and looked immediately out my window as it overlooks the front yard and walkway/driveway but noone was there! I went downstairs and the door had both security locks on from the night before.
It was not possible that it was any of our family as my parents were away camping and it was early in the morning!

We found out after being in the house many years, that there used to be a cemetary across the street. The moved all the bodies when it became a public park but during road construction, there was a body discovered from that ime period. no.gif

Ok
I know I had a spelling error and meant sorry instead of dorry but I thought this would have generated more interest and comments?

That is one busy house!
Watchful
And I was trying to figure out was a dorry was.

Anyhow, when you mentioned your neighbor watching your house while you are gone, and seeing things and you hearing things, this reminds me of our house in Jersey, on the base. The military houses we lived in, were like row housing, and every other house, was a mirror image inside and out, so various rooms were like connects as of a mirror image thing. Meaning the bathrooms and kitchens and such shared the same wall. Our upstairs bathrooms, if both neighbors opened up the cabinet door, you could actually have a conversation with your neighbor. Seriously, I actually did, which was better than the phone reception there. Anyways, while my family was away, my neighbor and friend told me, she was upstairs in her bathroom, taking a bath, when she heard the sounds of our cabinet opening and closing countless times. She knew we were away, and it freaked her out. When her husband got out of the service and they moved back home, and before the our new neighbors moved in, I swear, I could hear the kitchen cabinets opening and closing. It was eerie.

Even though there has been a lot going on spirit, you don't seem to unnerved by it. That is terrific. Seeing how many things have happened to other members of your family at least there are witnesses to back each other up. Keep us updated!

HelloRolling thunder. You know we have always seemed ok with it as if there was anythign wanting to hurt us, we would have had something happen long before now.
Will keep you guys posted.

Have you had your house checked for electromagnetic fields or souces of infrasound? Both of these things can cause hallucinations and make people feel very uncomfortable.

trust me we are not halucinating but thanks for the laugh

It wasn't a joke. EMF and infrasound are real things and can cause extreme feelings and can cause auditory and visual hallucinations.

If you don't want people to suggest real solutions then just say. thumbsup.gif I was just trying to be helpful.

I wonder if scientists even test these theories.

I've got a truly tragic story. Unfortunately it's a story of a friend dying.

A group of my friends and I decide one night to try using a quija board. We all got together and decided to try channeling some spirits. At the time I didn't believe in that sort of stuff at all. There were six of us, and we started out asking silly questions like who am I going to marry? Or, who will I lose my virginity to? Eventually though, the whole game took a more serious tone. We started asking questions about past events such as the dates past relatives died and stuff. Surprisingly it knew, I just thought whoever was asking the question was just moving the cursor, so I still wasn't too impressed. Then I asked when my grandfather had died. Nobody but my self new when he had died. When the cursor moved to 122495 I about crapped myself. My grandpa died on December 24, 1995. I know I didn't move it so at this point I'm freaked out. This is where it gets a super creepy. One of my friends then asked when he was going to die. It said tomorrow. I will never forget the look on his face. After that we stopped. The next day my fiend was killed in a four wheeler accident. He was trying to climb an embankment and it flipped over on top of him. Basically, he was crushed. That was one of the saddest, and scariest days of my life. I'll never forget his funeral. All of us felt somewhat responsible.......were we? I've never used a quija board since, and that was almost 8 years ago. Think what you will, but I've learned not to mess with things you don't understand.

LiquidMercury, that is a very sad story and I really feel for you but it could have just been that your friend was nervous about going four wheeling subconsiously and moved the planchette subconsiously himself. If he'd had a few close calls and knew the risks or if it was his first time ever then it's just human nature to be scared whether he acknowledged it or not. And the whole theory behind the Ouija is that it's subconsious movement so you would have moved the planchette to the date of your grandfather's death yourself but without doing it consiously.

That's my take on it and I hope I didn't upset you in any way. thumbsup.gif

Wow Liquid, that really is a coincidence, sorry to hear about it. I wont go near Oujia Boards, and neither will anyone I know. Mostly because those people think they are silly, and I don't trust them no matter what anyone has to say about them.

Why bother?

That is tragic sad.gif sorry to hear.

You mustn't in anyway feel responsible for or the ouija board. Yes things can sometimes happen beyond our understanding and it's not our place to know, but it wasn't anyones fault, blame is terrible path to nowhere.
